Plotting and Planning
She knew Cruz was likely going to strangle her when he realized she’d slipped out of the room while he slept. but at this point, she was preferring his rage over the rage of Liborio Bartoli. She needed to figure this out before the other man started killing her family.
It was not even six in the morning, but she had zero regrets about banging on Sloane and Halima’s door, especially when Sloane was the person, she needed most in this moment.
The door pulled open, and her friend stood there with bloodshot eyes, hair in the messiest bun ever and a sleep crease down the side of her face.
“You look awful.”
“I forgot how bad Halima snores and worse, I forgot she gets up at five to do yoga, regardless of the time zone. She’s on the patio.” Sloane pointed to where Halima was stretching outside. “Who does that s**t?” Sloane groaned and crawled back into bed and whimpered, “I’m so f*****g tired.”
“Yes, well you don’t have time to be tired. Liborio Bartoli came to my room last night and threatened everyone I love if I don’t give him two babies. Apparently, my eggs are the key to him having perfect children or something.”
“Holy f**k, are you kidding?”
“No. I’m not kidding. You are on the list of people he threatened. Sloane, he said you’re under investigation by the Canadian spy agency.”
Sloane frowned, “for what?”
“Did you do work for a foreign government?”
“I mean I’ve done work for lots of people.”
“Your coffee date guy, the new hire, is someone trying to get intel on your crimes, Sloane. Bartoli said he’d
make it worse, and you’d go to prison if I didn’t agree.”
Sloane made a face, “I’m sure the time wouldn’t be long.”
“Sloane!”
“Don’t do this for me.”
“He’s going to get Halima’s brother thrown in prison for life. He’s going to put Odin’s accusations against Mom all over the internet. He’s going to kill Odin, which at this point, I don’t know if it’s a bad thing, but he’s got dirt on everyone. He said Dad’s heart is weak and if Mom’s reputation tanks and Odin dies and Dad’s company takes a hit, Dad’s likely to drop from a heart attack. Last night Mom needed to take Dad to the medical clinic because his nitro wasn’t working.”
“What are you going to do?”
“What I do best,” Presley took a deep breath, “get even.”
“You want to take revenge on a mobster?”
“I want you to find a copy of the agreement he signed with Odin. I want to know what the escape clause is. I

also want to make him disgusted with me so the notion of f*****g me or me having his bables becomes the last thing he ever does.”
“Okay. How are we doing this?”
“First, we need to find a way to get some special effects make–up. I need to make one of n*****s look
infected.”
“Uh,” Sloane made a face. “Are you kidding?”
“The rottener the flesh looks, the better.”
“Fine.”
“I need to get some colloidal oatmeal too. I’m going to make it a paste and leave it in my panties.”
“That’s gross.”
“I know.” She smirked at Sloane who made a gagging noise. “I haven’t told Cruz yet the pièce–de–résistance. I feel it’s better if it’s a surprise for him.”
“Dare I ask?”
She pulled out a tablet from her handbag. “Algernon got this for me from his wife. When Cruz was in the shower last night, I went to Algernon and told him it was highly likely the mafia Don was monitoring all our devices. I need a device Liborio wasn’t in. He went to his wife’s room, came back ten minutes later with this. He told me he will need to f**k her now in order to pay for the device which may interfere with his plans for a divorce, but he likes me and Cruz. He said we bring an excitement to his life he hasn’t experienced in a long
time.”
Sloane shot her a sideways glance, “do not judge me, because we all know I’ve been known to make very stupid decisions based solely on biological urges, but there is something about him which makes me very
curious.”
“You also said Liborio was interesting.”
“Him I lied about. He’s not interesting. He’s scary and evil. Algernon though, the way he simply dove in and did the right thing and then when he was getting off Odin yesterday in the room and he looked me right in the eyes and adjusted his package. He’s not bashful.”
“He’s going through a terrible divorce because his wife cheated. I did see him kiss her when she was yelling at him, and it turned her into a pile of goo. She just melted and shut up. She’s gorgeous, as in, supermodel gorgeous.”
“What you’re saying is, if I want to try him out, I have competition.”
“Sloane, he’s not aesthetically pleasing to the eye.”
“There is something about him.”
“I might be sick.”
“From the woman who is in love with a man whose knuckles literally drag on the ground and bangs his chest like a gorilla. Tell me, Presley, when Cruz f***s, does his vein thing in his neck bulge even bigger than his d**k does?”
“Don’t be mean.”

“What are we talking about?” Halima entered the room, glistening from her morning workout, patting her face
with the towel like she was in a commercial for perfect skin. When both her friends scowled at her
appearance she shrugged, “don’t hate me because my genetics predispose me to being hot even when I’m
sweaty.”
“I definitely hate you,” Presley grimaced as Halima grabbed a bottle of water and twisted the cap off before
drinking it like a goddess. “I workout and look like cooked lobster. You workout and look like an
advertisement for bottled water.”
“We’re talking about how I want to sleep with Algernon, Cruz is an ape, Bartoli wants Presley to have his babies in exchange for not destroying everyone she loves.”
“He wants you to have his babies.”
“And not raise them. Give him two kids and leave them with him to raise. I can walk away once they’re born.”
“You didn’t tell me this part.” Sloane covered her mouth worriedly.
“What are we going to do?” Halima sat next to them on the bed.
“Even her sweat smells good,” Sloane muttered.
“That’s my antiperspirant asshole,” Halima flicked her with a towel. “My sweat smells as bad as everyone else’s, stop being a jerk.” She looked at Presley, “what’s the plan?”
“He has my medical records. He knows I’m in perfect health. I doubt he has my dental records though. I need bad breath so thinking some garlic will do it. I need a decent enough yeast infection, but I don’t want an actual yeast infection.”
“Yeast infections are temporary though. You won’t scare him off for long.”
“I know but I simply need to put a bit of revulsion into his mind.” Presley tapped the tablet, “I also need Cruz to give me genital herpes.”
Sloane looked at her as if she were crazy. “You want him to do what?”
“I need you f**k with Cruz’s medical history. There is no way Liborio pulled Cruz’s medical history. I need you to give him a couple of prescriptions over the years for herpes management.”
“Um okay.”
“I’m going to give myself a cold sore and then freak out at Cruz because he told me it was a mole, not a sore on his d**k before I blew him.”
Halima used both hands to cover her mouth as if horrified. “The entire world will think Cruz has herpes.” “It’s for the greater good. I can’t tell him because I need his reaction to be genuine when I lose it at him.”
“Presley, are you nuts?” Sloane questioned seriously.
“I want you to add it to Ramona’s medical history as well.”
Sloane groaned, “f*****g nuts. This isn’t going to work.”
“We’ve been having unprotected s*x all week. I mean without condoms. I am protected against pregnancy. Liborio is not going to want to risk his s****l health or the health of his unborn children. He wants perfection, I need to screw with his plan. I need him to want to take the escape clause.” Presley inhaled, “but first we need to know what his escape clause entails. If it entails, he simply kills everyone and is done with it and

walks, then I’m going to push out two little Italian bables made in a petri dish and pray my heart can handle leaving them to be raised by someone else. If it entails, he recoups his money another way from Odin, and I don’t even care if it’s by stealing Dad’s company or feeding Odin to some pigs at this point, then I’m moving forward.”
“And you think I can hack into Liborio’s system with this?” Sloane wiggled the tablet.
“You could hack into Odin’s system with my phone and we both know it. The tablet has a bigger screen. Odin said he signed it electronically.”
“Damn it,” Sloane groaned loudly and then looked at her, “you’re sure he said the new hire at work is an undercover cop?”
“Yes.”
“I sold some information to a Chinese guy who lives in my apartment complex. He has links to some criminal organization. He asked me to get him some details on a company nearby and gave me the computer of one of the employees of the company. He gave me a quarter million dollars for two hours of work.” Sloane
admitted.
“Like a triad?” Halima was breathless.
“Yeah, maybe? I don’t know. All I know is, I was really bored with coding for the company and this guy gave me a bit of excitement. He was s**t in bed, but I made some fast cash. I didn’t think it would come back to
me.”
“What if you can’t go back to Canada?”
“I’m Canadian. They can’t ban me from returning to my place of birth, Halima.” Sloane rolled her eyes. Though I bet if I rocked Algernon’s world, he’d let me be his arm candy.”
“He has two teenage boys who are his world,” Presley said seriously.
“I like a good family man. I can be a stepmother. I never wanted to have my own kids ruin my body.”
“Your lack of exercise, shitty diet and promiscuity are ruining your body,” Halima retorted dryly. She looked at Presley, “she went on for hours last night about how Algernon looked her right in the eyes and grabbed his
junk.”
“Love at first sight?” Presley snorted. “Sloane and Algernon’s banana hammock.”
“Does he wear one?”
“He does. His friend has a yacht. We should all go on the yacht, and you can see for yourself.” Presley commented with a smirk. “I’ll invite the future father of my children. He can see my creepy black n****e and pasty panties.”
“Still gross,” Sloane groaned as she looked at the tablet. “You’re sure you want to do this to Cruz’s
reputation?”
“Does it matter? If this works, then I’m the only person he’s ever going to have s*x with again so whether he has real herpes or not is irrelevant.”
“And if it doesn’t work?”
“Then when I come back after birthing Satan’s demons, Cruz will still be single because nobody will want to

sleep with him, and he’ll still be mine.”
As her two friends immediately rounded their mouths in complete understanding, Presley knew she’d come
to the right place.
Halima started to get off the bed and then looked at Presley, “I brought some of my fiber granola bars with
me.”
“So?”
“I’m saying if you ate a couple of those before inviting Liborio onto a yacht with all of us.” Halima made wide eyes of glee.
Sloane started giggling as Halima dug through her suitcase. “I see where you’re going.”
“I don’t.” Presley frowned as she caught the box of bars.
“Remember the last time she gave you one of her bars? It gave you such bad gas you were farting for a week. Nothing screams put babies in me than a flatulent woman.”
The smile which pulled Presley’s face was diabolical as she unwrapped a bar and took a bite.
“Not yet!” Halima hissed.
“Are you kidding? This is for Cruz. The jerk still poops with the door open in the room. This one is for him.”
