Since that night when Dwayne left her, he never came back, and a week later was Madam Lambert’s birthday banquet.
Liana messaged her, saying Madam Lambert had asked her to attend with Dwayne.
Dorothy also knew that she was not officially divorced from Dwayne yet. She was still the daughter–in–law of the Lambert family, so she naturally could not refuse to attend the elders‘ birthday banquet.
After replying to Liana’s message, I hesitated for a moment before sending a message to Dwayne: “Grandma’s birthday banquet, let me go back with you.”
