Chapter 12
“Really?” Brenden blinked
He was clueless about what had just happened
The only thing he knew was no matter what he did, as long as it made Sonia happy and got sonia to praise him, it was something good
With a smile, Sonia stroked his face. “Brenden, you want Dwayne to be your daddy, right?
He nodded, beaming
Sonia’s smile grew icier. “Then you have to please him so that he’ll like you more. Understand?”
He nodded hard. “I will, Mommy.“]
Just as Dwayne entered the company, his assistant Margaret Booth walked toward him. “Mr. Lambert, Madam Lambert is waiting for you in the office.“[]
He nodded and walked inside.[]
Sipping tea elegantly on the sofa, Aliyah looked up at him. “You arranged for Sonia to work at Dorothy’s hospital?“]
Loosening his tie, he sat opposite her. “Dorothy complained to you?“]
Setting the cup heavily on the table, Aliyah snapped, “Dwayne, she’s your wife. At least give her some credit. Do you really think Dorothy is that kind of person?“]
Dwayne smiled coldly, “Isn’t she?[]
“I haven’t forgotten a bit low she married into our family or how you forced me to marry her.“]
Aliyah pulled a long face sneering, “If she had complained, Sonia wouldn’t have stood a chance of going back.“]
After falling silent for a second, Dwayne met her gaze. “Leave Sonia alone.“[]
Utterly pissed off, Aliyah let out a derisive laugh. “She left with the 1.6 million dollars I had given her. For money, she won’t hesitate to abandon you again and again. What’s so good about her?“[]
“She wouldn’t have left without your intervention.“[]
“You…” Aliyah thought of something and suddenly smiled. Then she slowly stood up, saying, “Dwayne, believe me–you’ve made a horrible mistake, and you’ll regret it one day. I won’t interfere in your marriage anymore. You can divorce her if that’s what you want.”
She then left the office.]
The muscles on Dwayne’s face twitched, and his expression darkened to the utmost.[]
He thought, “Regret it?)
“No way
“Dorothy has gotten her way–she’s now my wife with more money than she can spend. Can she bear to leave me?
