Dwayne looked coldly, “You don’t want me to touch you?”
Dorothy also looked at him calmly, “You made me kneel down all day today. Does Mr. Lambert still feel like doing these things
with me? Slap me, then give me a date?”
He cooled down for a moment, took off his tie and sat up, “Have I never given you a chance?” He paused, turned to look her straight in the eye, “Is it so difficult to admit a mistake?”
Watching his casual indifference, Dorothy felt the lingering thorn in her heart begin to ache again.
“…But I did nothing wrong.”
The desire in Dwayne’s eyes completely disappeared. When he brought up the matter again, his attitude became even colder, and he sneered, “Dorothy, you really are unreasonable.”
He got up and slammed the door as he left.
Dorothy didn’t try to hold him back either, she just remained calm as usual, as if his attitude towards her was no longer important.

Dwayne smoked a cigarette downstairs, his body gradually calming down, when the phone rang.
Seeing Sonia’s call, he picked up and answered.
“Dwayne, um… Brenden asked if you were still coming over tonight,” Sonia asked cautiously.
“I will go over in a moment.”
“Okay.”
Sonia hung up the phone and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Dwayne still cared about her and the children.
Dwayne arrived at the hospital at 9:30 in the evening. Brenden was very happy to see him and wanted him to stay and accompany him. “Uncle, can you please not leave tonight?”
Dwayne sat on the edge of the bed, looking at the child’s innocent eyes, feeling a bit reluctant in his heart, “Okay, you go to sleep, I’ll stay with you.”
Brenden finally closed his eyes.
Sonia came back from taking a shower and saw this scene, walking towards him with a smile on her face.
