“Keshton is here with an injured she wolf?”
The news of the typically aloof and detached Alpha bringing a female with him was enough to rouse healer Trace from two days‘ worth of exhaustion. He lifted his weary body from the couch where he had been resting and hurried to the VIP room.
Without knocking, he entered the hospital room to find an unconscious woman lying on the bed. Keshton was there, covering her with a white blanket that he had found nearby.
“So, it was not a rumor…” Trace murmured to himself.
Keshton glanced at him. “Examine her,” he instructed.
Trace nodded, carefully assessing Sibyl’s injuries in a single glance. Her face was pale from blood loss due to her injuries, but what caught Trace’s attention was her torn clothing. He narrowed his eyes at Keshton. “Don’t you think you went too far with this woman?”
Having been friends with Keshton for years, Trace was well aware of his particular proclivities, or his likes and dislikes when it came to women. The women that left Keshton’s room in the morning could hardly walk without hissing and blushing. Men could be a little wild in bed when they were sharing it with a beauty, but what lay in front of Trace’s eyes could make even the bravest man frightened at the thought of Keshton’s sex life.
His incredulous conclusion was written all over his face, earning a cold stare from Keshton. “She was attacked by some of our pack members. Now move your ass and treat her,” Keshton commanded sharply.
A woman in rogue territory? The surprise flashed in Trace’s eyes, realizing he had missed a lot during his absence from the Eclipse Moon Pack. With a flurry of questions swirling in his mind, he approached the sleeping beauty on the bed.
Meanwhile, Keshton moved to the window to have a smoke.
Sometime later Trace informed, “She is not in a life–threatening situation, but the wounds caused by silver will need to be treated as soon as possible. Her other injuries also require attention. Though I heard from someone earlier that she was conscious when you brought her in. How did she faint?”
Trace questioned, failing to notice Keshton’s hand abruptly pause with the cigarette as he glanced at Sibyl’s sleeping reflection in the window’s
reflection.
She was shocked from a reaction to an unexpected kiss that brushed her lips. Her heart raced with a mixture of surprise and heat, but before she could fully comprehend the sensation, she slipped into darkness.
“She will be embarrassed when she wakes up…” Keshton murmured.
“What did you say?” Trace turned to look at him, but Keshton had already left the VIP room.
After receiving a call from Trace, who wanted to gather more information about how the she–wolf ended up in their territory and Keshton’s sudden interest in her, Glen deduced Keshton’s whereabouts. He quickly drove to the healer’s territory to meet Keshton.
“Everything has been handled back in the pack… Aries took care of the corpse. So the matter began and ended in that bathroom,” Glen informed
Keshton.
Keshton gave a slight nod in response. “They made their move when I was not around. It couldn’t be such a lovely coincidence, right?”
Glen immediately caught Keshton’s implication. “I will find those that followed Noah and were involved in planning this.” He had also suspected that the attack was fully planned. “I never expected that bastard Noah was capable of pulling a stunt as bold as this,” he sighed. “I should not have ignored the look in his eyes when I delivered your message to the group.”
“That’s why I told you to keep an eye on things,” Keshton remarked, slipping both hands into his pockets.
“Yeah and I failed,” Glen gritted his teeth in frustration.
Torget about it, now focus on figuring out where Noah found a silver knife in my territory,” Keshton instructed, his tone firm and decisive.
Silver was the death of a werewolf. Its mere presence made their skins crawl, so there was no way it could have been in a werewolf’s possession. Especially when such an item was prohibited in unwritten rules.

Glen frowned and pulled the silver dagger carefully out of the cloth that it was wrapped in. “You are correct. Due to the rush back I did not question the fact of how Noah got his hands on such a taboo weapon,” he murmured in surprise, passing it to Keshton.
“Or maybe it was simply delivered to him. Just like wolfsbane,” Keshton flung the dagger in his hand, taking note of its special design and the special wood handle that protected his hand from the silver.
Glen frowned, observing Keshton’s meaning, “Wait a minute… Do you think he got it from hunters?” he gasped. Killing werewolves with silver was only a hunter’s style, with the added bonus of making things easier for them.
“I do”
Glen shook his head in confusion, “Let’s say he got this dagger from a hunter but when? Noah could not risk keeping silver in the pack without getting caught. That means he got it after his argument with Sibyl in the pack. Though I checked the records, I can assure you that he definitely did not leave the pack once in the past forty eight hours! So how could he get
“What if he did not need to leave the pack to get it?” Keshton interrupted him with his own question which stunned Glen.
“Wait a minute, Keshton. Do you mean… that… someone in our pack had a silver knife already and they simply gave it to Noah?
Keshton nodded as Glen’s eyes widened in shock. His head began to throb at the thought of a traitor but then another thought crossed his mind, “Don’t tell me that you think… there is a…”
“Hunter in our pack,” Keshton completed his sentence.
“Fuck!” Glen yanked at his own hair in frustration, “I was already getting only a few hours‘ sleep at night and now a fucking hunter just showed up to steal the last few hours of peace from my life,” he grumbled in irritation.
Keshton closed his eyes and tilted his head to the right then left slightly before opening his dark wolf eyes that were filled with bloodthirst. His comfort zone was the most sensitive spot in his life, he had now been thoroughly provoked. “This feels like a shit.

The pack had been in the hands of the third in command for a long time, leaving Aries with tons of work in Keshton’s absence. So Glen returned to the Eclipse Moon after talking to Keshton. Now that they were aware of a traitor among them, they had to be more alert.
Meanwhile, Trace had also left after finishing Sibyl’s treatment. Keshton entered the treatment room that was illuminated by only the moonlight that poured in through the window. He quietly stood by the bed, observing Sibyl’s defenseless figure. Her eyes were closed, her features relaxed, revealing a calm and beautiful side of her.
Keshton felt as if his hand had a mind of its own as it stretched out and gently ran across her cheek. Her temperature was warm due to the silver in her wounds, but that also meant her body was healing. Slowly, his fingers slid down to her red lips.
“Ummm…” she moaned lightly as her eyelashes fluttered ever so slightly.
Keshton’s fingers froze, his eyes fixed on her lips, which were slowly parting and closing with a moan before she slipped back into sleep. Suddenly, he became aware of his own heartbeat, which quickened the longer he looked at her.
What was this feeling growing in his chest?
He couldn’t help but lean down toward her face and whisper, “What are you…” as he slipped his hand from her cheek to her neck.
She lay quietly beneath him, but when he touched her neck, something felt off about the texture under his palm. Shifting his amber eyes from her face to her neck, he noticed the familiar white patch.
She always had that patch on her neck, but she didn’t seem injured or anything. So, why did she have it? Every time he saw that white patch on her neck, it bothered him for some reason. This time was no different. He slid his hand back from her hair to her neck and slowly peeled the patch away, freezing when he saw what lay beneath.
She was marked.
Marked by another man.
