“Is that the little blind she–wolf that ripped my fingers off?”
The words hit me like a lightning bolt, the Goddess really had to be joking. Why in the world was that sick wolf a member of this pack? On top of that with so many wolves standing behind him, it was clear he was the Head Warrior! Seeing the fury in his eyes, I could tell his intentions were far from friendly. As my mind raced to figure out how to avoid him, I forgot that Aries was standing beside me, as a mysterious excitement flashed in his eyes at the mention of me ripping Noah’s fingers off.
“A blind woman did that?” The words instantly echoed from the others, piquing everyone’s curiosity. Their eyes studied me from head to toe filled with skepticism. None of them seemed willing to accept the fact that a woman, especially a blind one, could assault a male wolf, especially when they were rogue.
“Have the two of you met before?” Aries asked me.
“I don’t know him,” I lied, maintaining my casual expression. “We can head to the hospital first,” I said, trying to pass by. I had no intention of revealing anything, as one revelation would lead to exposing my encounter with him at the brothel, the debt, being sold by my brother, and my current unsightly situation.
Suddenly, Noah blocked my path. “So you’re a little liar too,” he accused, violently pushing my chest, forcing me to step back to maintain my balance, and my back hit Aries‘ chest.
“What the f**k are you doing, Noah?” Aries‘ deep voice entered my ears, freezing me momentarily. It was not the voice that he had used with me so far all day. It had lost its positivity and smiling charm that I felt throughout the tour. Could it have been because I could not see him?
“She is a w***e from our brothel!” Noah exposed to Aries.
Aries‘ hand that had been holding my arm as a guide paused while the other wolves‘ expressions instantly turned ugly and displeased.
“The Alpha brought a w***e into our pack!” The field filled with displeased growls and disrespectful glares. However, my skin still crawled from Noah’s touch on my breast. I raised my eyes to glare back at his satisfied
smirk.
“Don’t touch me again,” I growled slowly in warning.
“Or what, b***h?” He glared back angrily, this time grabbing my top with such force that it could rip off at any
moment.
Unbeknownst to me, Aries was about to make a move on Noah, but my wolf kicked in before he had the
chance to act.
“Or I could just kill you, pencil d**k!” I growled, my wolf taking over as Zara dislocated his wrist. With the sound of bones breaking, the clearing fell silent before Noah’s scream filled the air. “AHHHH….. FUCKKKK….” he screamed in pain, clutching his dislocated wrist in disbelief.
Aries was taken aback by what he witnessed, just like the others.
Screaming in pain, Noah yelled at the wolves under him, “CATCH THAT b***h! I WANT TO KILL HER WITH MY

With his order given they surrounded me the following second, their furious growls signaling their bloodthirst.
I took up a fighting position, ready to shift if needed, then struck down any wolves that attacked me. They were strong and outnumbered me, so I aimed for their sensitive spots so that I could incapacitate them for a couple of minutes. They lay on the ground, badly injured with broken limbs. Until they furiously shifted Into their wolf forms, intent on taking me down. Just as I was about to shift into my wolf to defend myself and
Aries‘ voice broke in.
“Those of you that don’t stop now will have to face me,” Aries‘ authoritative voice cut through the tension. The wolves that were bleeding and injured had been about to attack instead turned angry glares on Aries. You’re protecting this b***h, Aries!!” one of them shouted in indignation.
“She’s not someone you can touch,” Aries calmly stated, but his eyes flicked to one of the wolf’s extended claws. The wolf flinched, forced to retract them under Aries‘ commanding gaze.
“What do you mean we can’t touch this b***h?” another demanded.
“She’s the woman that the Alpha has brought to the pack,” Aries stared the man down. “So touching her would mean touching one of his possessions. Do you get me…” Before he could finish his sentence, Noah snuck out of the crowd with a hot coffee cup in his hand that he had pulled from the machine.
“DIE, b***h!!” He opened the cup and threw hot coffee on my face. I used my arm to shield myself. My heart pounded wildly in my chest at Noah’s insanity. He wanted to ruin my face if he couldn’t disobey Aries’s orders. But I never felt the boiling liquid on my skin as the clearing fell silent.
What was happening? I slowly opened my eyes to find Aries shielding me, while the men stared at him in surprise.
“Noah, if you don’t have a death wish I suggested you f**k off,” Aries‘ voice was low yet it sounded different, as if it were not him but someone else speaking. Noah reluctantly took a step back while glaring meaningfully at me, then he turned to leave with his wolves following behind him.
I moved away from Aries and glanced at his chest, only to find his white t–shirt wet with hot coffee. “Goddess!” I gasped at the sight. He had taken the burn instead of me. “Your chest must be burnt!” “It’s okay, Sibyl,” he smiled at me, his voice returning to normal.
“No! It’s not okay. Let’s go to the hospital. I’ll treat the burn,” I urged urgently.
He blinked at my panicking state. “Calm down. My wolf can heal it quickly,” he reassured me with a smile.
I bit my lip in guilt. “Still, let me treat you or I won’t be able to forgive myself,” I insisted.

He silently studied me for a couple of seconds then agreed. Once we reached the hospital, I quickly looked for the freezer. “Take a seat. I’ll apply an ice compress to your burn,” I stated, pulling out some ice cubes. He nodded and followed my instructions. As I picked up a clean cloth, I noticed him taking off! was quite unexpected. I hesitated slightly when approaching him, then I sat beside him to apply the compress.
It wasn’t that I hadn’t seen a shirtless man before, but Aries‘ physique was impressive with broad shoulders

and a well–built body. His physique was especially eye–catching considering he was the Gamma of the pack.
“Why did you take the hit when you knew it was going to burn?” I asked him while applying the compress.
“It’s okay, I don’t mind doing it for you,” he grinned. I noticed he had a very innocent face, as if he were not
from this world.
“But I mind,” ! interrupted. “Please don’t do it again,” I murmured, wiping the burnt area with a clean cloth
while avoiding his gaze.
“I’m just doing the same thing that you did for me. I wonder why you’re stopping me,” he stated something that puzzled me.
“I did the same?” I blinked at him, then a memory from years ago flashed into my mind from high school. I had been walking back home when I shielded a boy in a dark alley from a group of adult wolves.
“It’s you!” I gasped.
The corner of his lips curled Into a handsome smile. “Finally, you remember me,” he said.
My mouth was slightly gaped. I never expected Aries to be that boy but when the memory of the boy returned, on top of that he still had the same innocent face. I had forgotten about him because we were just strangers who had met once, then I moved on with my life..
“I recognized you the moment I saw you,” he admitted.
Feeling a little embarrassed, I said, “Still, I just scared those wolves with a lie that cops were on the way and made them run away. It was a foolish act I pulled without thinking. It was so childish,” I let out an embarrassed laugh.
“It was not a foolish act but a life–saving act on your part,” he whispered, earning my surprise.
A life–saving act? “Are you not speaking too highly of me?” I chuckled, getting up from his side. His wolf was already starting to heal him.
“You…” He said something under his breath that I failed to hear.
Later, Aries introduced me to the hospital staff, all male rogues but different from the rogues from earlier. They were professional and respectful, which made things easy for me.
Aries left shortly after. It was really surprising that I had run into Aries in this pack. Someone positive and friendly in this rogue pack.
