- HOW DARE SHE
D
ressed in a tight red dress, a tall blonde woman strode into the Eclipse Moon Pack clearing then scanned her surroundings with a frown. Due to unpredictable weather her hair was a mess, on top of that the slow rain had just ruined the makeup that she’d spent hours on.
“He asked me to stay, but he hasn’t shown up after making me wait for ten minutes. Where is he?” She muttered to herself, attempting to mind–link the person but for some reason she was being blocked. Suddenly, the familiar scent of the wolf reached her nose, causing her to abruptly halt in her tracks. She turned to find a figure leaning against the wall, his imposing silhouette appeared even more intimidating against the darkness of their surroundings.
“Aries, is that you?” She took a cautious step forward, confusion evident in her voice. His peculiar silence and sharp scent were deeply affecting her wolf. Nervously licking her lips she continued, “Why are you sitting on the ground like that? Is everything alright?” She approached him.
As Aries lifted his dark wolf’s eyes to meet hers, she froze in place. Her eyes widened as she took in his unusually flushed face, a gasp escaping her lips. “Aries… you…” Before she could utter another word, Aries seized her hand and pulled her away with him.
Healer Trace, who had been observing the scene as it unfolded before him, felt a surge of excitement. Aries briefly glanced at Trace as they passed by without saying a word to him.
Trace’s lips curled into a slight smile as he observed Aries‘ reaction. Deciding to take a stroll around the territory, he knew the hospital would be closed by now and that he had been away from the pack for far too long. The familiar environment invigorated him, washing away the weariness of the past few days. However, his leisurely walk came to an abrupt halt when he stumbled upon another unexpected scene taking place near the border.
There stood Keshton and… the woman he had brought to the healer territory.
Amusement flickered in Trace’s eyes as he watched the pair’s close proximity and intense eye contact. Yet, his amusement turned to shock when he noticed a mate mark on Sibyl’s neck, sending a chill down his spine.
Keshton, who typically detested touching anything that had been handled by another person, now found himself holding the she–wolf that had already been claimed by another man. Surprisingly, he didn’t harm or destroy her. Instead, an inexplicable look filled his eyes. The look in Keshton’s eyes was indescribable, it stirred up a mix of curious apprehension within Trace.
With a barely noticeable smile playing on his lips, Trace began to silently retreat to avoid being noticed. “It would seem like I’ve missed quite a lot during my absence,” he murmured to himself as he disappeared into the shadows.
Since the day Sibyl recognized Edwin as her soulmate and fell in love with him, she had made some foolish decisions. For example blindly trusting him, assuming he’d be as faithful to her as she was to him, and allowing him to mark her as his own.
After rejecting him, despite his refusal to accept it, she had mysteriously stopped feeling the pain in her body whenever he engaged in sexual activities with Daisy. This bewildered her because luck had never favored her before, perhaps the Goddess was finally on her side this time.
Grateful, she moved on with her life ignoring the mate mark as if it never existed. However, when Keshton discovered it, she felt as though every facade that she had painstakingly pasted into place was suddenly ripped away. The dormant effect of the mate mark, which had lain latent for days, suddenly surged to life on her neck. Her skin crawled, and she felt suffocated by its presence.
“Who is he?” he whispered.
Sibyl stared into his eyes without blinking, realizing from his reaction that he had already seen her mark, perhaps when she was conscious in the hospital the other day. Her lips parted slightly as she slowly replied, “The biggest mistake of my life.”
Keshton’s eyes shifted slightly at her response. “Then why is he still clinging to your neck?” he asked, his finger hovering over her mark, his eyes flashing with irritation and a strange enmity towards it.
Sibyl’s heartbeat quickened and her body jolted slightly at his touch. Once again, his gesture seemed to indicate care. The other day he professed an attraction to wild experienced women. Later, he displayed jealousy and claimed he didn’t like her being touched by other men, even going so far as to kill Noah. He had licked and kissed her, actions suggesting he cared. On the other hand he also acts mean towards her, ignoring her or pretending nothing happened after he made a move. He boldly played with her emotions, leaving her confused and frustrated.
He confused her and Sibyl hated feeling that way. After experiencing so much betrayal, she wasn’t willing to be toyed with by another man, especially Keshton who seemed to have a significant impact on her for reasons she couldn’t fully understand.

Keshton’s patience snapped when she gave him the silent treatment. He raised her chin, his brows furrowing. “Why don’t you answer me?”
Sibyl blinked slowly and replied, “It’s my personal business that I don’t wish to discuss with you.”
Keshton frowned bitterly at her response. “Do I have to remind you of the position you’re in? Nothing is personal when it comes to you.”
“Do I have to remind you, too, that our relationship is that of a creditor and debtor, therefore extremely professional with no private matters involved?” Sibyl raised an eyebrow, then added, “Or could it be that Alpha Keshton has miraculously grown feelings for me, and that is why he crosses the line with me?”
Sibyl’s words struck Keshton. The mention of feelings sent a pang through him as the image of a blonde woman sleeping on his bed flashed in his mind. Unpleasant memories flooded his mind’s eye, igniting anger and hatred within him. He glared at Sibyl’s daring expression and tightly grabbed her
arms.
“I don’t entertain myself with unnecessary feelings. Especially not with women. Those two things are what I detest most in my life,” he growled, his eyes filled with disgust, revealing Keshton’s true nature that had been buried beneath all those layers of ice. He was a man not interested in emotions or relationships. Women held no value to him outside the bed, that was the truth. What had she expected from the rogue Alpha?
Sibyl clenched her fists at her sides and stated, “Great, now everything’s crystal clear between us, right?” She slowly pulled away from him while locking eyes with him. “Let’s maintain a healthy distance from each other, Alpha Keshton. It’ll be what’s best for both of us.” With that, she turned on her heel and left the territory.
Keshton watched her vanishing back with red eyes, triggered by the fact that she had drawn the line between them. His wolf, Rah, appeared in his eyes once again as Keshton began to lose his mind. Why had her words affected him so much when he should have been the one drawing that line in the first place? Why had it triggered him when she addressed him by his title?
“HOW DARE SHE…” He growled lowly, the look in his eyes was bloodthirsty. He wanted to kill someone to rid himself of the feeling welling up in his heart.
With a furious growl, he let his wolf take over, shifted, then dashed into the woods for the hunt.
Right after Keshton had left the room, Christian, Odin, and Sean departed from the Eclipse Moon Pack Glen went to see them off to the airport since Keshton and Aries had both just disappeared. He only just returned after an hour and a half in the car to sense something unusual. There was an odd silence that he could sense the moment he stepped into the packhouse. Next, he spotted a large deer laying on the ground, it was a clear indication that Keshton had gone hunting. However, the Alpha only hunted under special conditions and one of them was when he could not control his anger so his wolf took over.
Glen immediately strode up to Keshton’s room, the moment he stepped in he was greeted by the darkness of the room. He rushed inside only to stop when the sound of running water entered his ears. He tilted his head to find Keshton standing under the shower. A trail of blood was rolling down his body and mixing with the water going down the drain.
Glen’s suspicions appeared to be correct. The Alpha was in a very dangerous state at that moment and approaching him that time was not a wise decision. Glen decided to leave quietly when his phone rang. It was a call from one of his Beta friends from another pack. As soon as Glen picked up the call, and listened to what he had to say his limbs went cold. He cut the call and immediately switched the TV on where the news was playing.
“Keshton!” he yelled, causing the Alpha to glance over his shoulder. “Werewolves have come to the attention of humans! Everything is totally fucked up!!”
Keshton walked out of the shower and stepped into the room to watch the CCTV footage of a white wolf running in a city while the public panicked and ran away in terror. It caused the hunters to become active.
“WHO THE FUCK IS THIS WOLF THAT BROKE OUR LAWS AND GOT OUR REALM IN TROUBLE!!” Glen yelled angrily but Keshton’s eyes were glued to the wolf running in the footage.
White fur, beautiful yet strong features and… a pair of silver eyes.
It was… Sibyl
