Standing in front of the big screen, Aries stared at the footage of Sibyl’s apartment playing out before his eyes. The pack’s security had fallen onto his shoulders, including the CCTV footage and other evidence. So when Glen had ordered one of the pack members to go through the recordings from that night, Aries could easily see what he had missed during his rut. That wasn’t even taking into consideration that what he saw was incredibly triggering.
With red eyes, he stormed out of the room, and strode to the packhouse where the pack members were being sent by Glen with strict orders: no one was to enter the clearing until further notice. It was clearly to prevent them from witnessing something. However, what he saw next shocked him–Sibyl standing between Keshton and a beaten, unconscious Edwin like an unbreakable wall.
His feet came to a halt at the sight of her neck, where she bore Edwin’s mark. What he saw in the video had not been wrong. She already belonged to someone else…
“What do you think you are doing? Stop this insanity right now!” Sibyl glared at Keshton.
“Move,” Keshton growled, his eyes darkening when she defended Edwin.
Sibyl stubbornly shook her head. “What the hell are you doing? Why have you brought him here, and why do you want to kill him?” she demanded.
“He touched something that belongs to me,” Keshton’s voice was deep and grave as he took a step closer to Sibyl, his eyes filled with bloodthirst.
Sibyl’s heart shook slightly with an ominous feeling. “What are you talking about?” Why did it feel like he knew about Edwin and what he had done to her?
Keshton pulled broken sunglasses out of his pocket and dropped them on the ground. Sibyl immediately recognized them. They were the ones that she had lost in her old apartment during her struggle against the three men. How had he gotten his hands on them?
“Have I forgotten to mention how much I hate my possessions being damaged?” Keshton murmured, stepping on the already broken sunglasses as he drew closer to Sibyl with an aggressive aura that alarmed her wolf. “This fucker did exactly that. He touched and harmed what belongs to me, a peaceful death will not suffice.”
Sibyl’s lips quivered in panic as Alpha Lester’s yelling echoed in her ears.

“Don’t act dumb!! How dare you use your lover to take down my son in such a cruel way?!”
At the time she had not known who he was referring to as her lover. It turned out….
However, she still had no idea how Keshton had discovered what happened in that apartment and that Edwin was the one responsible for it. What set panic in her heart was realizing that she had underestimated the man’s obsession with her. He walked all the way over to grab Edwin by the throat because of her, completely ignoring the fact that Edwin was her soulmate. According to Alpha Lester’s accusation, the three other men had been killed on the spot before Edwin was beaten, humiliated, and mercilessly dragged all the way to the Eclipse Moon Pack. The Lunar Moon Pack had lost face in the whole werewolf community, becoming a hot topic in the circle when the rogue became Alpha involved.
At the same time, it also meant that her mate bond, her personal history, never mind whatever other information had been revealed to Keshton. Suddenly, she felt as if she had been stripped bare in front of this man that she had always been extremely conscious of.
Everything in the clearing fell silent, Sibyl saw Aries there too. The look in his eyes when her mark was exposed to him, made her feel all guilty. She was not the person that she had presented to others. She was someone else entirely.
She blinked then looked up to Keshton, “Let him go,” her voice was soft but it was clear who she was asking to free.
It was not only Keshton but Aries’s expression that distorted when her word’s registered, “I must have misheard something?” Keshton’s voice grew heavier as his expression darkened
Aries could not just ideally stand by, “Sibyl, don’t tell me that you are trying to protect this mutt that tried to…”
“That’s my personal matter, Aries,” Sibyl locked eyes with him, “I can handle it on my own so please..”
“Move,” Keshton cut Sibyl off, his face all serious and his wolf was in his eyes, “I will not repeat myself a second time,” he warned, ready to pass by her just for the pleasure of dragging Edwin to his demise.
“NO… NO… NOOO….WAIT!!” Sibyl put her hand over Keshton’s chest, barely stopping him from approaching Edwin. Keshton growled in anger but her shaking yet burning touch on his chest took away a lot, forcing him to pause momentarily and look at her.

“You can’t protect him,” Keshton grabbed her arms and lowly growled.
“There is no way I am protecting anyone here but myself,” Sibyl stated looking deep into his confused amber eyes. “If he dies here then…”
Sibyl paused as Alpha Lester’s words echoed in her mind.
Your lover Her heart began beating wildly in her chest, Why would the Alpha label Keshton as her lover? He was a mean, emotionless, creditor that treated her like one of his possessions. Even at this point, he was after Edwin because he must dislike fucking a she–wolf that had been fucked by another man. He could be anything but her lover, Why would Alpha Lester think of Keshton in that way?
Keshton looked at her, lost in thought then slowly let go of her arms, “What if he died here?” he raised an eyebrow.
Sibyl pursed her lips secretly not knowing what to say because if Edwin died by Keshton’s hand then…. Alpha Lester’s accusation of Keshton being her lover was going to be true. That was going to start a new series of messes in her already chaotic life.
Just as she opened her mouth to say something, suddenly an arm grabbed her and turned her around pulling her into a tight hug.
Sibyl gasped at the suddenness of the actions and the hug. It happened so quickly that everyone was stunned at this sudden change of scene.
“Sibyl, I knew you loved me!” Edwin was in his human form weak and bleeding yet confident in his mate bond with Sibyl. She loved him over all others, there was no way she would let anyone kill him.
Sibyl was practically paralyzed in Edwin’s arms. His scent, his touch, his wolf approached Zara, everything about him made her sick until his cock brushed against her belly triggering the terrible memory of being thrown onto the bed by Edwin so that she could be fucked by three other men.
“Don’t touch me” she murmured under her breath, between greatly uneven pants as her whole body became coated in a fine layer of sweat.
“Sibyl, let’s go home, Okay? We will sort out our problems together. I promise to divorce Daisy as soon as we get back, okay? I will do anything that you want and we will leave happily like before, Please, let’s go….”
Ifis every word slowly began to fade from her ears as she just started to lose focus due to the intense pain that his touch had caused her subsiding heat to rush back into her blood like a lava alarming Glen, Aries, and Keshton that had all been standing there bearing witness.
The heat suddenly attacked Sibyl’s entire being to the point that she could not bear it, “DON’T TOUCH ME!!” She screamed at the top of her lungs, wriggling free from Edwin’s hold. In a swift motion, Keshton charged and yanked her away from Edwin, hoisting her onto his shoulder. At the same time, Aries grabbed Edwin by his hair and slammed him into the ground so violently that his side face nearly broke.
Glen, stood nearby covering his nose to block the overwhelming scent of Sibyl’s heat, rushed over to Aries just in time. He grabbed Aries by the waist, preventing him from stomping Edwin to death with his foot.
“What are you fucking doing, Aries?! Do you want to kill him?” Glen growled, forcefully pushing Aries away.
“Let go!” Aries growled back, his wolf appearing in his eyes, burning with rage.
“Alright, I will let you go if you want Sibyl to hate you!” Glen snapped back, his words hitting Aries like a bucket of ice water on a burning fire. “She’s a woman with a strong will and confidence. She doesn’t want anyone interfering in her business. She’s made it clear that she can handle her personal affairs on her own. I get that this fucker deserves to die, but we don’t actually have to kill him,” he added, stared directly into Aries’s eyes. “She doesn’t need a man, Aries. She’s been so wronged by males that she just hates them, and I can tell that you understand this by now,” he explained what he had observed in Sibryl
Aries stared at Glen in silence, reluctantly accepting the gravity of the situation. He was well aware of Sibyl’s disinterest in men, especially in a romantic way. She always made it obvious where she drew that line, Of course, he had always believed that it could be changed over time, if her sendmate hadn’t appeared. Aries closed his eyes and swallowed his burning fury.
He didn’t want Sibyl to hate him. So, he had to take Glen’s advice and stop. However, Sibyl’s heat abruptly lost its intensity. When he looked past Glen, Sitryl was no longer standing there. She was gone. Where was she?

Once he glanced at Edwin, he was actually in Keshton’s deadly grasp.
“Kedhaton!” Glen gasped at the sight of Keshton pinning Edwin’s throat to the ground, his claws sinking deeper into Edwin’s skin, ignoring his painful cries. However, it was perfectly dear to all observers that the Alpha had no intention of killing him.
Aries watched Keshton’s lips moving as he whispered something in Edwin’s ear before letting him go. Edwin gasped for air, trying to inhale as much oxygen as he could, but it was cut short when Keshton yanked him up by his hair and tossed him to Aries.
“Remove the thing he obviously can’t be trusted with,” Keshton ordered.

“Keshton, you should not do it!” Glen objected. “She will hate you if you-”
“We already hate each other enough,” Keshton cut him off. Glen shut his mouth, realizing there was no point in arguing. Keshton glanced at Aries and added, “Remember, I do not want him to die.”
Enduring pain, sweating, and gasping. Sibyl managed to make it out of the clearing but due to her wolf losing her senses and sanity with the heat. She could not track the path and got lost in the forest when in reality, she just wanted to get out of the Eclipse Moon Pack. She just wanted to get away from this place if it could help her to forget everything that happened back in the clearing.
Her skin crawled from Edwin’s touch and the memory of being pinned under the three unknown men when she had been close to being ruined in her weakest condition, the fact that it had all been plotted by her soulmate, had broken everything inside her. Was the mate bond she shared with Edwin that tainted? How could he still claim to love her? How could he expect that she would go back with him when all she wanted to do was erase him from every one of her memories?
She just wanted to scream, cry, and let out all the emotions that were broken and hurt further after seeing Edwin again. After walking for a while, her staggering legs finally gave up. She felt as if her whole being was burning like she was on fire. After a short break she got a hold of her emotions and she forced her legs to stand with the help of the trees she kept moving, wanting to get out of this forest and territory as soon as possible. What she had not anticipated was the cliff that greeted her.
It was a dead end; luck had not been on her side.
Breathing heavily, she stared at it for a while before she walked all the way to the edge and frowned. She sat against a tree by the edge as she continued staring into the depths of the cliff’s basin with dead eyes.
For some reason it unsettled the Alpha as he silently followed her all the way to the cliff. The way she stared blankly at the cliff showed a lot of dark possibilities. Both of his hands were shoved in his pocket and his eyes were fixed on her side of the face. “Are you planning to jump or something?”
A slow, manly yet unexpected voice entered Sibyl’s ears. Why was he there? Had he followed her heat?
She did not move on a muscle and replied without looking at him, “Don’t worry. I am not going to dirty your possession with my blood. Even if I planned to jump, this rogue territory would not be the land that I did it on,” even with the flushed face and intense heat that were killing her inside, her tongue was as sharp as a blade.
Keshton silently sat beside her on the edge. The two of them remained silent for a long time before Sibyl could not see his eyes. “Why are you here? Now are you going to play the role of my stalker too?”
I thought you needed a shoulder to cry on,” Keshton remarked, earning Sibyl’s blank stare. She obviously did not believe his lie. Keshton glanced at the traces of dried tears under her puffy eyes and rubbed his finger under her eyes, “I thought you ran away so I came to catch you,” he honestly
admitted.
Sibyl lowered her eyes then slowly looked away, “I tried to run but got lost in the woods. I guess it is not so easy to escape. I don’t want to be anywhere around werewolves, especially rogues,” she murmured her thoughts that were maybe a little too honest. Being around her kind reminded her of all those horrible memories that were never going to let her move on with her life.
Keshton assessed her mental breakdown then all of the aggressive behavior that she had demonstrated in order to survive combined with the caution towards males could all be explained except for the reason for her hatred towards rogues.
Once again, the conversation between them fell silent for a long time before Keshton asked, “Do you still love him?”
Sibyl blinked at the unexpected question then glanced at Keshton who was already looking at her. Keshton raised his hand and gently removed her hair back from her face and brushed her red cheek, “Or is asking that personal question also crossing line with you?”
Sibyl’s heart took on a sudden rapid pace at his soft touch and gentle eyes. At the moment when their eyes locked, she could not seem to recall Edwin’s face, only Keshton was in her eyes. She secretly and softly clenched her fists at her side, “Stop touching me. You are making my heat worse,” she whispered, her heat enveloping Keshton more and more.
“And what if I have every intention of making your heat worse?” he stated, inching closer to her lips.
Sibyl bit her lip, her voice barely above a whisper, “What do you want?”
“Let me take care of you,” Keshton slid his fingers into her hair and touched his lips on hers. Sibyl moaned softly as their eyes locked with each other, “Let me take care of your heat, Sibyl,” he whispered as he gently recaptured her lips.
Sibyl’s heart skipped a beat hearing her name on his lips. It was the first time he had called her by her name. When she neither protested nor

returned his kisses, choosing instead to remain frozen against his lips, Keshton wrapped his arms around her thin waist and pulled her whole body into his.
Sibyl finally focused on Keshton and his amber eyes wanting all his attention. Her wolf forgot all the messy things that happened earlier, getting lost in the pleasure that this man intended to give her. Sibyl wrapped her arms around Keshton’s neck and kissed him. Keshton deepened the kiss desperately hungry as he slid his hand under her dress.
Sibyl moaned weakly in his mouth and opened her eyes to find him looking at her, “You never did tell me. Do you still love him?”
Sibyl looked deep into his possessive eyes, as she replied after a moment of silence, “No.”
