- New Job
“I agree that we need an experienced waitress like you, but unfortunately, there are no vacancies at the moment. You can leave your resume and we’ll contact you when a position becomes available, the manager said politely, his eyes flickering back and forth from Sibyl’s sunglasses to the resume.
Sibyl forced a smile and turned to leave. Once again, she had a strong feeling that her sunglasses were costing her the job. This was the tenth place that she had applied to in the past three days. Despite trying at numerous restaurants and hotels, it seemed like the whole world was against her, with everyone else finding jobs except her. In the past, it had not been that difficult for her to secure part–time or full–time work, but now …she paused, looked at herself in the glass that she was passing by and slowly removed her glasses.
Sometimes she wondered if her life would have been different if her eyes hadn’t turned white and she hadn’t gone blind.
You have silver eyes,’ suddenly Keshton’s words echoed in my mind and I gasped. Why did I think about him at
this moment?
Putting her sunglasses back on, she exited the hotel and was immediately assaulted by the heat. Taking a deep frustrated breath, she glanced up at the burning sun before heading into a nearby restaurant for a cold drink. She had left the house in a hurry that morning on an empty stomach and needed some energy. Taking a seat in the corner of the restaurant, she began marking the job listings in the newspaper that she had yet
to visit.
Three days ago, she left the Eclipse Moon Pack, terminating her job at the hospital. The pay she had earned there was supposed to help repay her debt, but unexpectedly, some money appeared in her bank account. It was from the Eclipse Moon Pack, the payment she had been promised for serving Keshton’s friends that day. She hadn’t expected to receive it, especially after getting on Keshton’s nerves. Luckily, she had and it had helped her get through a few days of job hunting. Now, however, her bank account was running low again and she urgently needed a job.
Even the drink she was sipping didn’t taste good. Lost in her job hunting, she hadn’t noticed someone taking a seat across from her until the sound of someone sipping a drink entered her consciousness.
She lifted her confused gaze to find a handsome man with curly brown hair, it was a werewolf smiling at her. “You look perfectly fine for the she–wolf who was in a deadly heat just a few days ago,” he said.
She gave him a puzzled look, “Do I know you?”
“Of course you don’t, because whenever I’ve treated you, you’ve been unconscious,” he smirked, “I am Healer Trace from the Eclipse Moon Pack.”
“Oh… oh,” Sibyl’s mouth gaped in surprise. “I… I am really sorry. I’m Sibyl Hall. Thank you for everything.”
“It’s alright, it’s my job to cure people, and I have a particular interest in curing beautiful women,” he replied, winking playfully.
Sibyl chuckled, “Then I should consider myself lucky.”
“Of course,” he smirked, noticing the pen and paper in her hand. “What are you doing?”
“Job hunting,” Sibyl shrugged.

Is that why you suddenly disappeared from the Eclipse Moon Pack without telling anyoner h
an eyebrow.
Sibyl hesitated to reveal much, knowing that he, or probably anyone else, had no idea what had happen between her and Keshton. “Yes, I have a few situations that I need to take care of. So I left the hospital job at Eclipse Moon. It’s not like someone is waiting for me there, so I just left,” she smiled softly, grabbing her
drink.
Trace’s lips curled into a secretive smile. No one was waiting for her? The memory of Aries‘ behavior over the past few days flashed in his mind. “That is interesting,” he murmured to himself in amusement.
“Sorry?” Sibyl blinked at him.
“I was just asking what kind of job you’re looking for,” he said, changing the topic.
“A decent, safe job with good pay. I have a good education and experience working in high–class society, restaurants, and hotels, so I’m looking for something like that. Oh yeah, it has to be a job among females,
she added.
“Among females?” Trace was dumbfounded. “What’s that about?”
Sibyl gave him a tight lipped smile, recalling Keshton’s condition: “Find a job in a place where only females
work.”
She still couldn’t understand why he had set such a condition, but she couldn’t deny or argue with him at the
time.
“Hmmm… so you want a safe job where only females work,” Trace said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. Suddenly, his eyes lit up. “I know a place with a vacant position where only werewolf females work!”
Sibyl’s face lit up. “Where is this place?!”
Her excitement turned into surprise when she followed Trace to a werewolf strip club.
“So, what do you say?” Trace beamed at her.
Sibyl slowly turned to look at him with blank eyes. “Are you joking with me? You brought me to a strip club?!” she snapped then turned to leave.
“Hey, wait!” He grabbed her arm, blocking her way.
“This place fits your requirements perfectly. The pay is great, and there are only females,” he stated matter of factly.
Sibyl took a deep breath and shook her head. “Yes, but the customers are all male. I also mentioned that I need a job in a safe place. This strip club is not safe, especially since I’m not nor do I want to be a stripper.” “Wait a minute, are you misunderstanding something?” Trace chuckled as he pointed to an empty desk in the right corner of the hallway where only female staff passed by, an area that was prohibited to customers. “The vacancy is not for a stripper, it’s for a booking girl. You said you’re well–educated and good at handling customers. I believe you’d be able to handle the bookings for the she–wolves here. All you have to do is attend to the calls–there are way too many–book the girls they want, and that kind of stuff,” he explained then turned to leave, “Now the choice is all yours. I should leave now,” he winked and left.
Sibyl stared at the chair as she started thinking about it. It was only a booking girl job and it was among females. She was also in tight spot, this was not about getting just any job. Here she was goir to be away

from the customer’s eyes so her sunglasses would not be in the way of her making money.
She decided to talk to the manager but for some reason her heart was restless, “Why am I wondering whether or not he would be happy with me working in a strip club?” she grumbled to herself.
