44.Guilty
“Ugh… I smell like that old, disgusting Alpha,” one of the strippers growled in annoyance.
“You only smell like one, but in my case I smell like three ugly wolves. The old wolf I stripped for showed up with his ugly friends, and they were all small meat,” another woman rolled her eyes.
“Really?” the group laughed together.
The giggling she–wolves passed by Sibyl’s desk as she ended the last booking call of the night, watching them with a mix of admiration and pity.
She had been working at this strip club for three days and had noticed that the she–wolves often provided S**** services to VIP werewolves for an additional fee. Not all of these VIPs were kind or gentle. However, no matter how messed up the situation was, they always managed to smile and support each other.
“Sibyl, you can leave for the day,” the manager said, approaching her.
“Thank you,” Sibyl smiled and quickly started packing her stuff. Even though her job involved only answering phone calls, managing the strippers‘ schedules, prioritizing prominent and VIP werewolves, and making bookings it was exhausting. All she wanted at the end of the night was to hit the bed and not wake up until next year.
“Going home?” Coco, one of the strippers, met Sibyl in the hallway.
“Yeah, it’s already ten,” Sibyl smiled.
Coco narrowed her eyes with an evil smile, “You always leave in a hurry. Don’t tell me you have a boyfriend or something,” she teased.
Sibyl rolled her eyes, “I don’t have a boyfriend.”
“Really?” Coco was surprised and studied her face closely. “I don’t get why you wear those glasses but if you
remove them you would be the best paid stripper in this club. It’s just sad that you don’t have a boy toy int
your possession.”
Coco was blunt sometimes, but this time her words got Sibyl lost in thought. The mention of a boy toy brought Keshton’s face to mind. Her heart took on a sudden dramatic race. He had seen her scary eyes and even after that he had slept with her. Not once but too many times during her heat even though he was actually her creditor. Now as she thought about it… he was a boy toy in her possession…
“What the hell am I thinking?” Sibyl gasped at her own thoughts. If that big bad Alpha heard that she thought of him as a boy toy he could get offended or worse increase the interest rate on the loan!
Coco looked at Sibyl in confusion, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Sibyl forced a smile. “I was just thinking about what I should cook for dinner.”
“You are so lucky. I still have to perform a strip tease for an Alpha,” Coco sighed tiredly.
Sibyl chuckled and walked closer to her. “Want me to cancel the booking?” she raised an eyebrow.
“Absolutely not! Even if I’m sleeping, I’ll give a strip tease. You know how much I love money, right?” Coco exclaimed.

Sibyl laughed with Coco and nodded. Coco was the first woman to become friends with her, she was an absolutely wonderful person with zero ego and an open greed for money. Whenever she didn’t have a strip dance, she would come over to chat with Sibyl.
“Alright, then I’m leaving first,” Sibyl smiled, turning to go.
In the beginning, Sibyl had doubts about her decision to work at this place. However, when she saw the great pay, she knew she had made the right choice. She was happy to save money for herself, and being surrounded by she–wolf strippers all the time made it a safer place to work.
As she thought about all of this, she stepped out of the strip club and was immediately hit by a familiar scent. Her eyes locked with a pair of baby blue eyes.
“Aries!” she exclaimed in surprise.
Aries quickly closed the distance between them with a few large strides and immediately pulled Sibyl into a tight hug.
Sibyl gasped when her breasts bumped into his chest, feeling his heart beating faster as if he had run all the way to her. “Aries…” she whispered, taken aback by the sudden close proximity. She raised her hand and grabbed his arm to put some distance between them but his embrace was so warm and comforting that Sibyl was momentarily frozen. She did not even remember when the last time was that she felt such a comforting hug since her mother had just disappeared from her life one day.
Yet when Aries hugged her, she experienced that feeling of being wanted once again. She licked her lips when such an unexpected feeling had been raised in her heart by him, “Aries,” she softly repeated his name,” What’s wrong?”
“Sibyl, where did you disappear to? I was so worried when you didn’t return to the pack,” he murmured, his eyes closed as her sweet scent comforted his uneven emotions.
Sibyl held her breath at his words. She pulled away and looked up at him. “Were you waiting for me?” her
eyes were wide in disbelief.
He nodded. “How could you just disappear without a word, Sibyl? I have been waiting for you. I thought something happened to you.”
Sibyl blinked in surprise. His baby blue eyes had lost their gleam and fooked tired. His eyes were puffy as if he was not sleeping properly. He really was… worried for her. When she left the Eclipse Moon Pack, she never thought there would be someone that would be waiting for her return or that would be affected by her
disappearance.
She bit her lip in guilt, “I am really sorry but I felt guilty for lying and hiding things from you when you treated. me so well, Aries. It was just that I wanted to have a fresh start in a place where I thought that Edwin or my

“Shhh…” Aries slowly put his finger on her lips, “No need to feel guilty, Sibyl. And as far as it comes to be angry and disappointed at you, that day is never going to come,” he smiled, the shine in his eyes returning.
His words touched her heart and wolf. She never had a friend that cared for her so much. Her younger self had no idea that when she saved the boy in the alley that she had made such a wonderful friend for herself. She smiled back at Aries, but what was when she suddenly realized that they were outside and that they

were in a rather compromising position If someone were to stumble upon them. “You should let me go now or I will die of suffocation,” she pointed out.
Aries looked down at their glued bodies and then back to Sibyl’s flushed face. She looked absolutely beautiful when her feminine side was revealed. He reluctantly loosened his grip, before she freaked out on him. Sibyl quickly pulled herself back and avoided looking at Aries.
She really avoided being in close proximity to this point where she made things uncomfortable for herself!
