- HEARTBROKEN
Exiting the club, Sibyl pulled her hair up into a ponytail. Just as she was about to walk down the street, her phone rang. She was momentarily surprised to see Glen’s name before she picked up the call.
“Sibyl, do you know where Aries is? Is he with you right now?”
Sibyl frowned, “Aries? I haven’t seen him since yesterday.”
Worry was evident in Glen’s voice. “How is this possible? As far as I know, he went to visit you like usual and now I haven’t been able to reach him through the mind–link since yesterday. I’ve looked for him everywhere but can’t find him. He never disappears for so long. Are you sure nothing happened between you two?”
Sibyl felt uneasy about Aries’s disappearance, even though she knew she hadn’t done anything to cause it. She couldn’t shake the feeling of being somehow responsible.
“I’ll try to contact him,” she said, hanging up the call and dialing Aries‘ number, but it was sent straight to
voicemail.
“Where could he have gone?” she muttered, worriedly running her fingers through her hair.
Zara spoke, “Glen said he came to visit us, right?”
Understanding her wolf’s reference, she immediately went back to check the alley behind the strip club where
Aries always waited for her, but there was no one there.
Glen had claimed he had searched everywhere, so it seemed futile to look around the city. This also meant
that Aries was somewhere Glen hadn’t looked, but where could that be?
After a moment of thought, a place suddenly popped into Sibyl’s mind. “Could he be there?” Zara and Sibyl
shared a moment of uncertainty.
“It doesn’t hurt to try,” Zara exclaimed.
Sibyl immediately hopped into a taxi to travel eight km away from the strip club and walked down a street
she hadn’t visited in years. As soon as she stepped onto it, she saw a figure sitting by the wall, surrounded by
a collection of empty wine bottles.
“Aries,” Sibyl softly called his name, surprised. She could not believe he was actually in the alley where they had first met all those years ago.
Aries lifted his head to look at her and Sibyl’s eyes widened at the sight of him bleeding and wounded.
“What happened to you?” she rushed over to him gently touching his face. “Did you get into a fight?” Her eyes were full of worry as her fingers softly traced his cheek.
Aries‘ heart skipped a beat as the wine bottle slipped from his fingers when he saw her in front of him. “How
did you get here?” his voice was low.
“When you were nowhere to be found, I thought of this place,” she explained, pressing her handkerchief to the
corner of his lips where it had been bleeding.
Aries‘ eyes suddenly shifted, “Do you still remember this place?”
Sibyl locked eyes with his beautiful ones and blinked, “I never forgot this place and never will. After all, it’s

where we first met,” she smiled.
Aries’s heart stopped for a second. She had come looking for him, and this place was as precious to her as it was to him. He stretched out his arm, wrapped it around Sibyl’s waist, as he pulled her into a hug.
Sibyl gasped in surprise at his sudden actions. Her whole body was sandwiched between Arles’s arms his head resting on her chest. She looked down into his eyes, seeing his wolf’s gaze on the surface of his baby blues. He took deep breaths, as if finding something he had lost. They exchanged body heat, and Sibyl couldn’t help but clench her dress at her side. They were too close, and the proximity was dangerous,
She slowly raised her hand and placed it on his arm. “Now can you tell me why you disappeared and came
here?”
Aries remained mute for a long time, recalling the sight of Keshton and Sibyl kissing, before answering without letting her go, “I saw my love in another man’s arms.”
Sibyl blinked and looked down at his face. His eyes were full of hurt, he was heartbroken. His always–smiling face now seemed to lack the will to live. She felt extremely uncomfortable seeing Aries so heartbroken. “Is she in love with that man?” she asked.
“I don’t know, but I came into her life first.”
“What?!” Sibyl pulled away from him a little and forced him to look into her eyes. “You came into her life first, and now the second man is trying to steal her from you?” She related Aries‘ heartbreak to her own mate bond with Edwin, where Daisy had stolen him from her. She knew how it hurt when a third person appeared in the relationship and stole everything from you.
Aries blinked at Sibyl’s sudden reaction and asked, “What would you have done if you were in my place?” Sibyl’s heart burned as Edwin and Daisy’s faces flashed in her mind’s eye. “If my love was not cheating on me and truly loved me, then I would claim them by hook or by crook! What’s mine is always mine. No one can steal it from me,” she exclaimed.
Aries’s eyes had suddenly shifted and his heart raced dramatically as he heard Sibyl. He stared at her beautiful lips as she talked as a smile curled on his own. “I see…”

“This is the information that you asked for about Sibyl Hall,” Min said, carefully placing the documents on Joseph’s desk one by one for him to see. “They contain all the details about what she has been up to over the past few years.”
Joseph picked up a random paper that mentioned her becoming the Luna of the Lunar Moon Pack, “She has really climbed high despite her blindness.”
“That’s true, though she ended up being abandoned anyway,” Min pointed out. “She was just a tool that Alpha Edwin used then he discarded as soon as he brought a mistress in the pack. I don’t see anything special about her, except that Alpha Keshton is interested in her despite her abnormal white eyes,” he stated disinterestedly.
Joseph lifted his gaze to Min as the corners of his lips curled into an evil smile. “She’s abandoned and used- that’s why she will be more desirable than any other woman.”
“How come?” Min asked, curiosity finally getting the better of him after years of friendship. He had never questioned Joseph’s strange taste in she–wolves who were already in relationships, especially with their

soulmates, whether chosen or fated.
Joseph took a leisurely stroll around his desk, lighting a cigarette as a smile played on his lips. “When you take a she–wolf that’s in love with her soulmate or lover, her resistance, her cries for her love to come and save her, her tears, her heartbreak- all of it turns me on,” he murmured, taking a drag of the cigarette. He glanced at Sibyl’s photo lying on his desk. “And Keshton’s latest woman completely fits my taste.”
Min raised his brows in interest and nodded with a light smile at Joseph. “Then what are you waiting for? Shouldn’t you already have her? I’ve never seen you so patient whenever you wanted a woman in your possession before.”
Joseph nodded, “When the possession is actually Keshton’s then it is not fun to just take it anonymously,”
Min frowned when he picked up the hidden meaning behind Joseph’s remark, “Are you planning to show yourself?”
“I was never in hiding,” Joseph countered, putting out the cigarette with a smile, “I was just waiting for Keshton to recognize me. I have a feeling he is already on the trail.”
