Stella exited Aries‘ house, impatiently talking on the phone as she headed towards the clearing. “It’s already evening, and he hasn’t returned home yet. My heart is restless at the thought of him never coming back. I feel crazy without him.”
“Don’t do something stupid,” the voice on the other end cautioned.
“It’s easy for you to say such things, but it’s my life with Aries…” Stella paused abruptly, her words trailing off at the sight of Aries walking into the clearing with a she–wolf that was wearing sunglasses.
“Thank you for buying me clothes. Your taste is excellent,” Aries winked at Sibyl, causing her heart to flutter. Who could deny such a handsome face, especially when he was complimenting her on clothes that were nowhere near as expensive as the ones he usually wore?
She blushed slightly in embarrassment but rolled her eyes. “The clothes aren’t a gift. I expect you to pay me back later. You had blood all over your clothes, and due to shifting, your clothes were pretty torn up. I bet you don’t want your friends to know you got into a fight.”
“Ohhh…” Aries laughed lowly, adding to Sibyl’s embarrassment.
“What’s so funny?” she gritted her teeth and elbowed his side.
“You’re cute when you try to hide the fact that you’re blushing,” he grinned.
Sibyl’s face turned even redder, she didn’t know how to respond. She bit her lip to stop herself from smiling. “SO YOU ARE THE b***h!!!” A female’s scream boomed in the clearing as Stella attacked Sibyl from the side, catching her off guard. Stella jumped on Sibyl, causing her to fall to the ground. The back of Sibyl’s head hit the ground so hard that she groaned in pain. Stella took advantage of Sibyl’s stunned state by slapping and hitting her face.
“STELLA!!” Aries roared, rushing to grab Stella by the waist and tossing her away from Sibyl’s body. “WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU DOING?!” he barked, his voice filled with fury.
Even though he used less than 10% of his strength, Stella was violently thrown aside. Her elbows and knees were badly scraped. Hissing, she looked back to find Aries rushing to help Sibyl sit up on the ground.
“Are you alright?” Aries worriedly asked, checking the wound at the corner of Sibyl’s lips. Her face was red and slightly swollen from the hit, but she mostly seemed to be in pain from hitting her head. “Does it hurt here?” he gently asked, rubbing her back to comfort her, his eyes filled with concern as he watched her expressions change from pain to relief.
Stella’s heart burned as she witnessed the loving gaze Aries had for Sibyl–a gaze he had never shown her. It was as if he was the one who was hurt, not Sibyl.
“You still only care about her when I’m here, hurt and broken,” Stella said, biting her lip until it bled as she slowly got up from the ground. “She’s the one, isn’t she? She’s your first…”
Aries looked over his shoulder and glared at Stella before she could say anything more in front of Sibyl. “Stop your nonsense immediately, and I will forgive you,” he warned, the wolf in his eyes reminding her of the rules that he had set out years ago–rules she was never supposed to break.

Stella’s wolf shivered at this rarely seen, fierce side of Aries, but after witnessing first hand the effect that Sibyl had on him and his blind love for her, Stella wanted just one thing. “Today, either I will be left alive, or this b***h will she screamed, shifting into her wolf form and launching an attack at Sibyl
“STELLA!!” Aries growled in the warning, standing his ground to shield Sibyl. However, Stella had made up her mind. She didn’t stop, fully intending to kill Sibyl, knowing Aries wouldn’t kill her. He was a man that never broke his promise and he had promised to never hurt her and to protect her.
Of course, she didn’t know that Sibyl had already stood up, “I don’t need anyone to protect me.”
Before Stella had a chance, Sibyl jumped out from behind Aries and attacked Stella’s wolf in her own
half–shifted form.
Sibyl’s attack was swift and brutal. She went for Stella’s throat first, then her ribs, causing Stella to scream in pain as she was thrown back by the force of the attack. Stella’s body hit the ground with a loud thud. The pain was so intense that her wolf couldn’t bear it and she immediately shifted back into her human form. “Next time, it will be your heart that I pull out through your mouth,” Sibyl slowly warned, shifting back into her fully human form, though the sleeves of her dress were slightly torn from the half–shift.
Stella coughed and glared at Sibyl. “You should just kill me because that’s the only way you can have Aries!” Aries‘ eyes widened at Stella’s remark. “Shut up, Stella! Get the hell out of here before you regret it!” he warned. Then he took Sibyl’s hand. “Let’s go. Does your head still hurt?” he asked, his eyes worriedly lingering on her face as he began to lead her away.
“I am fine,” Sibyl murmured, shaking her head lightly.
Stella breathed heavily, her jealousy, anger, and fear of losing Aries to Sibyl overwhelming her. She screamed, “Aries is my soulmate!!” Her loud voice echoed through the clearing, freezing Sibyl on the spot.
Aries‘ mind went blank, and Sibyl immediately looked at him in surprise. The area fell into a dead silence.
“Soulmate?” Sibyl looked at Stella in pure shock.
“Yes, he is my soulmate, and you have stolen him from me!” Stella accused.
Sibyl’s eyes widened with this revelation as she slowly turned to Aries. “Aries, what is…”
“Sibyl, you go home for now. I will talk to you later,” Aries softly suggested, letting go of her hand.
Sibyl looked at his hand and then at his face that she could not see properly since he had not lifted his head once. However, his aura seemed to have done a 180 degree change from earlier. She opened her mouth to call his name again but then she sensed that her presence would only make the situation worse. So she took a step back and turned to leave. Stella /watched Sibyl disappear with a sense of satisfied victory until her eyes met Aries‘. Then her heart was immediately consumed by terror.
“A… Aries…” she stammered, suddenly realizing how badly she had ruined her own life.
