The other Alphas pretended not to hear anything, their desire to flee palpable.
Some guests in the arena gasped dramatically, making the situation even worse for Lester. Meanwhile, Keshton glanced at the she–wolf clinging to him for protection. Her long eyelashes fluttered fearfully, giving her the appearance of an innocent lamb amidst a pack of wolves.
“Please don’t misunderstand, Alpha Keshton. I didn’t mean to say that to you. I was…” Lester tried to explain, but his words faltered under Keshton’s emotionless stare. It felt as though any explanation would only seal his fate. He clamped his mouth shut, while Daisy stood there stunned, witnessing her dominant father–in–law rendered mute before the rogue Alpha.
She looked at Sibyl, who was innocently holding Keshton’s arm for support, giving the appearance of a delicate flower that had been plucked by evil. Then she glanced at Edwin, whose eyes were soft and unwaveringly fixed on Sibyl. Daisy couldn’t ignore the fact that Keshton’s eyes also lingered on Sibyl nonstop. Her heart burned with rage. Both men were fixated on Sibyl, that was enough for Daisy to lose her mind.
“What the hell are you doing here, Sibyl!” Daisy growled.
“Goddess!” Sibyl flinched, tightly clutching Keshton’s arm. “Please don’t hurt me.”
Daisy paused in shock, seeing Sibyl pretending to be scared of her.
Keshton glanced at the little she–wolf clinging to his arm, the corner of his lips curling up slightly. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his chest. “Don’t be afraid. I am here,” he said. Sibyl froze in Keshton’s embrace, her face buried in his warm chest. She hadn’t expected him to hug her in public. Her heart started beating faster, and she secretly bit her lip, not moving away from him.
Daisy looked at Sibyl shaking in Keshton’s arms in disbelief and angrily laughed. “What a great actress! I will rip you apart!”
“Rip her apart?” Keshton raised an eyebrow at Daisy, causing her heart to tremble with fear. He tightened his arm around Sibyl and glanced at Lester. “Care to repeat how Alpha Lester’s daughter–in–law plans to rip apart the woman that I, Alpha Keshton, am protecting?”
The weight of his words hung in the air, amplifying the tension. Daisy felt the eyes of everyone in the arena on her, their whispers amplifying her sense of dread.
Lester picked up the threat behind Keshton remark, “Shut the f**k up girl. I have invited Alpha Keshton here and you dare to offend him!”
Lester couldn’t afford to offend Keshton by excluding the Eclipse Moon Pack from the event, especially when other powerful Alphas had been invited. However, he had not expected the rogue Alpha, who had never attended any gatherings in the past, to suddenly show up at a Lunar Moon’s event.
Daisy’s eyes snapped to Lester in shock, finally realizing that Sibyl had used Keshton to gain entry into Lunar Moon territory. “Why did you invite him, Father? You knew Sibyl was with him, so why…”
“Shut up!” Lester barked at her, then glared at Edwin. “Edwin, when are you going to knock some sense into your wife? She doesn’t know who she’s talking about.”
Edwin snapped out of his daze and rushed over to grab Daisy’s hand, “What the hell are you doing?! Stop it!”

He violently grabbed her arm and pushed her away, causing her to stumble back.
Sibyl glanced at Daisy’s shocked and humiliated face out of the corner of her eye and smirked. Daisy’s mind burned with the realization that Sibyl was indeed acting.
“Why should I stop?!” Daisy yelled back at Edwin as she stepped forward. “She and Edwin have rejected each other, so why is she here again? Isn’t she here to steal my happiness?!” she demanded.
Sibyl pulled away from Keshton’s chest, turned around, and gasped. “I came to steal your happiness? Is that why you’re so aggressive towards me?”
“Yes! I know you’re here to ruin my happiness!” Daisy accused.
“I see you’ve misunderstood my intentions,” Sibyl smiled and took a step closer to Daisy. “I’m here to congratulate you and give you a gift.”
Everyone in the arena was surprised, even Daisy, at the mention of a gift. She looked at Sibyl’s hand, which held not so much as a bouquet of flowers, let alone any gift. She noticed that the other guests had noticed that Sibyl had no gift with her as well. The corner of her lips lifted. How could she pass up this prime opportunity to humiliate Sibyl?
“Your hands are empty. Does your gift have hands and legs and it is going to walk in here on its own?” she
sneered.
The whole area burst into laughter but fell silent in the next moment when Keshton roamed his eyes over the smiling faces.
“Goddess, how did you know?” Sibyl gasped.
Daisy’s smile disappeared, and she glared at Sibyl. “What do you mean?!”
Sibyl sighed tiredly and smiled. “It seems I should not tease you anymore,” she said, looking to the side where a tall man in a black jacket walked in.
The arena’s attention shifted to the new face, curiosity and unease spreading among the guests. Daisy’s eyes widened, while Edwin looked confused at the unknown face. The man was neither one of his pack members nor a guest. When he saw Daisy’s pale face, his confusion deepened.
“Daisy…” the man called out, stopping a short distance away.
Edwin frowned. “Who is he?” he questioned Sibyl.
Sibyl took the man’s hand, walked over to Daisy, and placed his hand over Daisy’s, smiling at Edwin. “Your wife’s baby’s father, Max,” she announced.
“WHAT!!” Lester shouted in surprise while Edwin stood stunned.
The whole arena broke out into gasps and murmurs of shock. Daisy felt as if her heart had stopped. She pulled her hand away from Max and turned to Edwin. “It’s a lie! This is your child, Edwin. I don’t know this man!” She held Edwin’s hand, desperately trying to convince him.
“Daisy, why are you pretending not to know me? I am Max, your lover that you abandoned when you found rich Alpha. Why are you calling our baby someone else?” Max weakly stated, completely heartbroken.
Edwin was triggered by the man’s claim as he glared at Daisy, who was on the brink of losing her composure. She turned and shrieked at the man, “This is mine and Edwin’s baby. I don’t even know you!” Saying this, she

slapped the man then confidently looked back at Edwin. “Edwin, don’t be swayed by false accusations. This man is lying. Actually…” She paused and turned her glare at Sibyl. “This is all you’re doing, isn’t it? You’re trying to frame me and steal Edwin from me. You’re jealous because I’m pregnant with Edwin’s child, and you
Before Daisy could call Sibyl infertile Sibyl raised her hand and slapped Daisy across the face. No one outside the Lunar Moon Pack knew about her infertility. The slap was so hard and sharp that the entire arena fell into a pin drop silence.
“How dare you raise your hand against Daisy?!” Edwin lost his temper and confronted Sibyl, driven not only by his love for Daisy but also his resentment toward Sibyl for leaving him for Keshton.
His hateful gaze swept past her to Keshton, who stood right behind Sibyl. Though Keshton said nothing, his presence was as menacing as death looming over Edwin’s head.
“I really made a mistake slapping your wife,” Sibyl gasped dramatically, biting her lip. Daisy, being shielded by Edwin, shot Sibyl a smug smile. Sibyl blinked in surprise, then shifted her gaze to Edwin. “Since I made a mistake, I would like to make a public apology,” she said, blinking at Edwin then looking past him.
“A public apology?” Edwin frowned, following her line of sight to the projector screen where pack members‘ photos had been displayed in a slide show. Suddenly, the images changed to reveal a pregnancy report, unmistakably belonging to Daisy.
