- You Stole My Sleep

The whole night, Sibyl tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep, which left her a complete mess the next
morning. She had picked up a job distributing pamphlets for a new, expensive restaurant, but she was highly distracted and lost. The restaurant was located in an area frequented by tourists, so she had to lure them in
with smiles and pamphlets. However, her sleepy state made it increasingly difficult. All night, she had kept thinking about Keshton’s confession and her own feelings for him. She never thought that a cold and
emotionless man like him would be so bold as to confess his feelings. Afterward she had just run up to her
apartment, even though he had said they shouldn’t run away from each other. “I really acted immaturely,” she sighed, sitting against the restaurant wall for a moment’s rest. She had been standing for an hour, and two minutes of rest was allowed. She closed her eyes to give them a brief respite, but unknowingly, she slipped
into sleep. The next thing she knew, Sibyl’s brows furrowed at the sound of a car honking, disturbed her sleep. Confused, she slowly opened her eyes to find herself sitting against the wall, as people passed by the
spot where she was supposed to be distributing pamphlets. “s**t!” she exclaimed, her eyes widening in realization. She had fallen asleep instead of doing her job! But wait, what was her head leaning on? “You can sleep some more if you want,” a familiar voice came from beside her. Alarmed, Sibyl raised her head to find Keshton sitting next to her. “How did you get here?!” she gasped in pure shock. Her head had been resting on his arm the whole time! Why had he not said anything? But then she realized the most shocking fact: he was sitting on the red brick beside her, where too many eyes were on them. Was he not worried about his reputation? “I was passing by,” Keshton explained, glancing at her small face. “Did you not sleep last night?” He raised his hand and wiped off her drool with the back of his hand. It was as if time slowed. Sibyl looked at his handsome smile as he wiped her face. Instead of being disgusted by her drool or pointing it out, he wiped it away as if it were nothing. Sibyl’s heartbeat quickened, and her face flushed. Was this man always this playful? How had she failed to notice it before? Or was she only noticing it after his confession? Sibyl’s wild thoughts were interrupted when the watch on Keshton’s wrist came into view as he pulled his hand away from her cheek. “I slept for three hours!” she exclaimed, jumping to her feet in shock. She stared down at her empty hand. “Where are the pamphlets?” She looked around in puzzlement before suspiciously glancing up at the Alpha, who was calmly moving his shoulder that must have fallen asleep. “You didn’t throw away the pamphlets, did you?” “Don’t worry. The rest of the pamphlets have been distributed,” he murmured. Sibyl glanced at the restaurant, now filled with customers, and then back at Keshton, who was putting his coat back on. How could there be so many customers? Had he distributed the pamphlets for me? Her heart fluttered at the realization. She could only imagine how he must have looked doing that. She suddenly became aware of her own scent having mixed with Keshton’s strong one, which was only possible because he had been with her for hours. It turned out that since she had slept, he had been there, next to her. She secretly clenched her dress to control her quickening heart. Keshton looked at her flushed cheeks and touched them. “Did you not sleep well last night?” he asked. Sibyl looked up at him, her eyes locking with his behind her sunglasses. “No,” she gently shook her head, slightly shy to admit it which Keshton found absolutely adorable, “What about you? How did you sleep?” she whispered, unable to stop herself from asking. Keshton’s heart took a sudden jump at her show of concern for him, even though she didn’t make it obvious. His heart warmed, and the corner of his lips curled into a smile. “Me too,” he admitted truthfully, then leaned in and pecked her lips softly. “You stole my sleep, Sibyl.” Sibyl slowly closed her eyes, her heartbeat intensifying with each second of Keshton’s gentle kiss. Her lips curled into a slight smile, knowing she wasn’t the only one who had been too restless to sleep. Realizing he was just as affected by her as she was by him, a happiness rose in her heart, and she kissed him back. Forgetting about their surroundings,

Keshton deepened the kiss and didn’t let her go until he was satisfied. When he finally broke the kiss, he touched Sibyl’s lower lip. “Since your work is done here, do you want to grab something to eat? I bet you skipped breakfast,” he was sure. Sibyl let out a nervous smile. She remembered that he had asked her not to skip any meals, but her emotional state had been so unstable that she had not felt like eating and came straight to work. “Why didn’t you eat then?” she questioned him. “I wanted to eat with you,” he replied without beating around the bush. Sibyl blinked. This Alpha never beat around the bush. Since he admitted he was there to share a meal with her, it was clear he wasn’t just passing by. “Don’t you have work to do?” her voice was low as she tried to catch her breath after such a long kiss. “I’ll handle it after we eat,” he said, stretching his hand out toward her and gesturing to his car. Sibyl hesitantly looked at his hand. Taking his hand meant taking a step toward Keshton. But was she ready for that?
