Joseph’s evil laughter echoed in the room as the sight of Sibyl and Keshton’s breakup and separation played out on every shattered piece of the mirror. “Such a magnificent view of Keshton’s heartbreak,” he sneered, his heart swelling with joy the longer he looked at it. Min, standing beside his Alpha, also chuckled. The scene unfolding in front of them was truly exceptional and had gone exactly as they had planned. However, as he glanced at Joseph’s face, he noticed the smile slowly fading, replaced by a hint of resentment and hatred. How dare you fall in love? How dare you forget her…” Joseph’s last comments were spoken under his breath so quietly that Min was not able to catch them clearly. However, Daisy, sitting on the couch beside him, silently observed the scene unfolding in the mirror as well as the hostility in Joseph’s eyes. She had been with him for a couple of days and had realized that the enmity between Keshton and Joseph was abnormal and frightening on many levels. She had agreed to join Joseph pack because of her desire for revenge against Sibyl. Seeing Sibyl devastated mentally and emotionally, on top of losing her love and everything else just like Daisy had, made her happier than ever. She could start her revenge on Sibyl. However, she had no idea that Joseph would be so ruthless as to kill the baby along with Kaha. He had not shared his plan with her, merely ordered her to watch the drama unfold. She had no idea he was so bloodthirsty that he wouldn’t spare the life of a baby. It wasn’t that she had sympathy for the baby; she felt nothing for it. But seeing this evil side of Joseph gave Daisy the hint that he could not be trusted. He was dangerous and might not hesitate to kill her as well when she was no longer useful to him. She slowly took a sip of the wine, devising a plan in her mind. She would escape as soon as she achieved her revenge on Sibyl. She would bide her time with him for a while longer because she couldn’t move forward with her life without seeing Sibyl shattered in thousands of pieces. She had vowed to drink her blood and chew her bones, not even allowing her remains to rest in heaven or on Earth! “I told you she has trust issues,” Daisy spoke, attracting Joseph’s attention. Wrapping his arm around her thin waist, he pulled her closer and kissed her lips. “Next time, make sure to share such naughty little secrets with me sooner,” he said. “Sure,” Daisy kissed him back, and as the heat between them intensified, their actions grew bolder. “Well, now I don’t actually have a need for such things as the game is about to end with my next move.” When Joseph impatiently started to strip her, Min silently exited the room. Daisy wrapped her arms around Joseph’s neck as he trailed kisses from her lips to her neck. “How about you share a little secret with me as well?” she spoke between moans. “I have no secret to share,” Joseph casually replied, his whole focus on her dripping p***y as he thrust into her in one go. Daisy cried out in pain but, as always, endured it. “I’m talking about your contact in the Eclipse Moon Pack–the one you asked to send a group of rogues after Kaha.” Joseph immediately stopped and glanced at Daisy’s fox–like –eyes. “I know the group of werewolves that escaped through the window, the ones Sibyl saw, and the group
that fled into the woods in front of Keshton are different.” Before she could finish, Joseph clenched her jaw so tightly that she couldn’t speak another word. She groaned in pain and felt as if he was going to kill her. Smiling, he leaned down to her face and softly kissed her. “Some secrets can cost you your life, so let the remain hidden, okay?” Daisy broke out in a cold sweat as his wolf eyes stared into hers. Her whole body shivered like a dry leaf, and she had no choice but to nod. **** “Could it be a couple’s fight?” gossiped the old ladies passing by, staring at the figure sitting across from Sibyl’s apartment, staring at the closed door. He was none other than Aries. “I’ve seen this handsome man coming here every day, knocking on the door a few times, and waiting there for hours before leaving,” one of the old ladies said. “Yeah, the girl with the black glasses lives there, right? Could it be that they’ve broken up and that’s why she’s not letting him in?” whispered another. A third woman disagreed immediately, “I think the girl in that apartment isn’t home. I haven’t seen her for three days. If she were home, why wouldn’t she come out even once?” All of their

collective gazes returned to the pile of food packages from the past three days, untouched and gathering dust in front of Sibyl’s apartment. The gossiping old hens left, feeling bad for Aries who continued to hear breathing and a heartbeat from inside Sibyl’s apartment until he was satisfied and sure she was safe inside. Aries stood up after a long time and touched Sibyl’s door. He had heard her voice for the last time three days ago when she had said from the other side of the door, “Everyone dies around me, so don’t come near me door. He wanted to break down that door, pull her out of again.” Aries‘ nails subconsciously scratched

glimpse of her, it was as if he was banished from his own being. He was not himself all the time and when it was the moment of their reunion he could not have her even though only a door separated her from him. His wolf eyes glinted with anger, obsession, and then control before he turned to leave, leaving the package of fresh food on the doorstep again. However, when he returned the next day, Aries regretted not breaking into Sibyl’s apartment. Standing in the empty apartment where her scent was slowly fading away, the food package slipped from his hand as he realized Sibyl had left. He put one hand over his darkened face, his sanity snapping as the reality of losing her crashed down on him. “Sibyl…”
