If it went missing Keshton will kill me,” he grumbled in frustration and panic. Trace, sitting by the window, staring outside and lazily smoking asked, “Are you looking for the file related to Sibyl’s debt and everything else?” Glen frowned, raising his head up,” How do you know?” Trace took a dang of the cigarette, “Look outside, you will know too.” Glen came over to look outside the window only to be stunned by what he witnessed. “f**k,” cursing, he rushed out of the packhouse and grabbed the hair of the wolf who was about to toss the file in the bonfire. “Fucker, what do you think you are doing? How dare you steal this from the Alpha’s office?!” The man shivered under Glen’s furious growl, “Beta Glen, it is the Alpha’s order,” he stammered. “What?” Glen let go of the man in surprise. The man turned to face Glen and nodded again and again before he was misunderstood, “Now that you are here, please burn it yourself,” he remarked and quickly walked away. Trace came over and took the file away from a stunned Glen. “He is erasing everything related to Sibyl,” he murmured, flipping through the pages, the corner of his lips raising into a secret smile. “Or maybe he is erasing her from his life,” Glen murmured, taking

The words “escape to a foreign country and start a new life” struck her mind. “Sibyl!” The she–wolf from yesterday shook Sibyl’s arm to get her attention. “Yes?” “It’s good that I caught you spacing out, but don’t risk spacing out at today’s event or you could lose your job,” she sincerely advised as they both exited the room. “What is today’s event about?” Sibyl questioned. Even though she had been involved in decorating and organizing the event yesterday, she had no idea what it was for. This shifter hotel was the most expensive and top international hotel in the country, exclusively for werewolves. From staff to the owner, everyone was a werewolf. Due to their policy of keeping the identities of the werewolves a secret, they were very cautious with new hires. They had significant trust issues, likely resulting from past incidents. Thus, Sibyl had no idea about the occasion of today’s event. They had even kept the name of the event host a secret. “Let’s go in and you can find out for yourself,” the she–wolf replied but was called over by another staff member. “You go first and immediately start serving,” she said before leaving. Taking a deep breath, Sibyl entered the large event hall with a tray in her hand. As soon as she stepped in, wealth and influence greeted her. Obviously, all the guests were powerful Alphas, making Sibyl guess that it was an Alpha ball until she noticed something unusual. Each Alpha around her had a different style and personality, as well as spoke different languages. Surprised, she tilted her head to look at the big screen behind the stage where it stated, “International Alpha Ball.” Her lips parted slightly, and she whispered under her breath, “Could it be possible that he is also…” Just then, a familiar scent entered her nose, shaking her heart and soul. Her whole body froze with the sensation, and sh slowly looked straight ahead. A familiar figure stood there, just a few steps away from her, staring back at her. Sibyl’s heart started beating wildly at the sight of him after a week. He looked as handsome as ever and perfectly fine. Her wolf grew active in her mind looking along with her as both of their gazes remained locked. It was as if they were the only ones in the whole room and no one else was there. Sibyl did not expect to see him here. “Alpha Keshton,” a smiling female Alpha approached and hooked her arm through Keshton’s. Please join us over here,” she insisted seductively. Sibyl looked at the woman’s hand and then at Keshton, who started walking with the woman. The announcement of the ball’s host appearing on the guest list broke the hall into excited chatter while Sibyl also quickened her pace as she walked, not caring about anything and not looking anywhere. She and Keshton passed by each other without acknowledgement, finally marking

Keshton instantly froze in place, and his expression darkened. He immediately turned to look. At the same time, Sibyl raised her eyes and looked at the man that people were calling party host, only to stand there stunned. Her eyes widened, her mouth gaped and she whispered, “Alpha Joseph?”
