The Eclipse Moon Pack territory sprawled across acres of lush greenery. Among the vegetation, a group of large wolves inheriting different yet rich fur colors, set off in pursuit of a deer. Their crazed speed caused the damp ground to tremble beneath their thunderous strides as their panicked prey darted desperately for escape. Growls reverberated through the air as they vied for dominance, their expressions fierce. Victory would belong to the first to claim the deer. Yet just as they neared their prey, the distant roar of a speeding car shattered the tranquility of the forest causing the wolves to abruptly halt their pursuit.
The wolves turned their attention away from the deer toward the source of the disturbance. Someone had driven away but who? In that moment of distraction, the deer seized its opportunity to flee into the forest. They did not care about that and returned to their predetermined meeting spot.
Christian and Glen arrived first, followed closely by Aries and Odin. Their eyes were drawn to Sean, seated casually on a large rock, clad only in his jeans and leisurely smoking.
“What was that sound?” Glen asked as they all reverted to their human forms, noting the absence of a car and a person.
“Where is Keshton?” Aries inquired.
“He’s gone,” Sean replied, extinguishing his cigarette on the rock beside him.
“Gone? Where?” Glen furrowed his brow, puzzled by Keshton’s sudden departure. It was unlike him to leave a hunt unfinished.
“I don’t know. At the start of the hunt, I saw him suddenly stop, turn around, then sprint back here. I followed him, only to find him already dressed and driving off toward the packhouse at top speed,” Sean explained.
At the mention of the packhouse, Aries‘ instincts kicked in, as only thoughts of Sibyl came to mind. He shifted into his wolf form and bolted in the direction of the packhouse.
“Guys, it seems something’s happened in the pack,” Glen announced to the three Alphas, quickly gathering his clothes. “I’ll go check it out. You guys continue with the hunt,” With that, he too dashed into the woods, heading toward the packhouse.
Christian, Sean, and Odin exchanged knowing glances and smirked. “Looks like Keshton went after his own prey.” Odin remarked, a hint of amusement in his voice. With that, they shifted back into their wolf forms, turning their attention back to the fled deer as their hunt resumed.

Entering the clearing, Aries rushed straight into the hospital, where the strong smell of fresh blood assaulted his senses. However, what he witnessed next on the front steps caused him to freeze momentarily: Noah falling from the third floor and landing lifeless on the ground. In that brief moment, Aries also noticed a large hole in Noah’s chest, indicating that his heart had been brutally ripped out before he had been thrown from the third story.
Aries‘ instincts told him that this incident was definitely linked to Sibyl. Without sparing a glance at Noah, he hurried up to the third floor’s washroom where he was met with a bloody chaotic scene. Wolves stood around, their faces pale and filled with fear while Keshton dominated the room with his menacing presence.
In the middle of the room, Keshton and Sibyl stood facing each other, their eyes locked in an intense gaze. Aries‘ eyes shifted to Sibyl’s nearly bare back, her torn top barely qualifying as clothing. Her smooth skin was exposed and was now adorned with bloody scratches. With just one glance, Aries could discern exactly what had transpired in the room that had led to Noah’s body being flung from the third floor to the ground.
Glen stood a short distance away from Aries, his face plainly displaying his shock. It wasn’t the blood or death that alarmed him, it was the expression on Keshton’s face. It defied description, it was more than simple anger. With a partially shifted bloody hand and the brutal act of killing Noah with a single blow, it was clear that the beast within Keshton had been unleashed. Keshton observed Sibyl’s watery gaze losing focus with a fierce glare in his eyes. Her wrist in his hand grew limp, her eyes closing as her head leaned against Keshton’s chest without her knowledge.
Aries moved forward with the intention of covering Sibyl with his jacket. However, before he could reach her, Keshton had already lifted her up and thrown her over his shoulder.
“Wh… what are…. you….” Sibyl’s voice was barely a murmur as she struggled to speak and stay awake, her words were slow, broken, and strained.
Aries paused, every man in the room stared at the scene before them with wide eyes. The Alpha, known for his being detached even after intimacy with a woman, now held a she wolf possessively over his shoulder. Keshton strode out with Sibyl, casting a glance at Glen with dark eyes as he passed by Glen’s muscles tightened, sensing the bloodthirsty aura emanating from Keshton. “Wipe them all out,” Keshton commanded lightly before exiting.
In his wake, Noah’s wolves fell to their knees, crying out in fear as they pleaded for their lives, “ALPHA!! WE APOLOGIZE!”

“WE WERE PROVOKED BY NOAH.”
PLEASE FORGIVE US!! PLEASE!!!” Glen looked sharply at the wolves before closing the door. Aries remained in the room as Glen methodically eliminated each wolf. Though Aries‘ attention was divided between the jacket in his hand and Sibyl’s bare back that he had caught a glimpse of
Getting out of the hospital, Keshton strode to the car parked right outside.
Sibyl felt her body being placed on something soft and comforting, but Keshton’s scent still filled her senses. She slowly opened her eyes to find him right in front of her, tying the seatbelt for her.
“What are you doing?” Sibyl’s broken voice reached Keshton’s ears as he locked eyes with her. He gently removed a fallen hair strand from her face and replied, “Taking you away.”
His words sounded like a promise as he settled into the driver’s seat and started the car. Sibyl, though not fully conscious, sensed the unfamiliar route they were taking. She glanced at him, noting the dark expression that still lingered on his handsome face. Despite the tension, she needed to know…
“Where are you taking me?”
“To a hospital,” he replied, abruptly ending the conversation.
Surprise flashed across Sibyl’s wounded face. Her bank account was already running low due to the necessity of renting a room in the hostel and food expenses. Moreover, the hospital job wouldn’t bring any money in, it was only to cover her debts. Her financial situation was dire, the impending hospital bill would only make it worse.
“Please, drive me to the nearby bus station, not to the hospital. I want to go home,” Sibyl requested, capturing Keshton’s attention.
“Why?” he inquired.
“My wolf will help me heal. I just need to rest. So please…”
“No,” he cut her off before stomping on the car’s accelerator.
Sibyl frowned in frustration. How could he just dismiss her like that? The corner of her lips twitched bitterly. He always did what he wanted! She wanted to argue, but she was too tired to even lift her eyelids, her mind was occupied with calculating the impending hospital bill as she closed her
eyes.
Keshton glanced at the deep wounds on her arms and hands that had been caused by silver. Werewolves had excellent healing abilities but when silver was involved, a wolf’s ability to heal was compromised, and the wounds would fester internally to the point of being incurable.
Sometime later, the car came to a stop as Sibyl stepped out, her mouth fell open in disbelief. She realized Keshton hadn’t brought her to an ordinary human hospital, but to the healer’s territory–a place filled with mysterious and powerful healers where an ordinary werewolf wouldn’t dare set foot.
“Let’s go,” Keshton said, walking around the car.
“That’s insane,” she murmured, refusing to budge.
“What?” he raised an eyebrow, his gaze flickering to her worsening wounds and bleeding head.
“I can’t pay the bill for this place,” she admitted without hesitation.
“I will cover the bill,” he said casually.
Sibyl blinked in disbelief at his comment, “Why would you do that?”
He wasn’t a family member, relative, or lover. Even lovers typically paid for their own expenses, but here was her creditor offering to cover the bill.
Keshton stared at her, offering no response to her question. Instead, he hoisted her up onto his shoulder once more. “You talk too much,” he tersely remarked as he strode into the healer’s den.
“What?” Sibyl exclaimed, feeling panicked and confused as she lay over his shoulder. “I can walk. Let me go,” she protested, struggling slightly but it only resulted in more pain on her end. He paid no heed to her warnings, so she resigned herself to lying quietly on his shoulder until they reached a room and he placed her gently on the bed.
Immediately, a man rushed in and addressed Keshton with respect but also a hint of fear as he glanced between them curiously, “Alpha Keshton!” he

began urgently.
“Call Healer Trace.” Keshton commanded, his tone firm.
The name struck a chord with Sibyl. She recalled hearing about Healer Trace from the gossiping staff, who had mentioned that the senior doctor of the Eclipse Moon Pack hospital was absent.
“Healer Trace came to offer his assistance to us from the Eclipse Moon Pack a few days ago, but he returned to his pack this morning. He should have returned to the Eclipse Moon Pack, Alpha,” the man explained.
“He didn’t return to Eclipse Moon. He must be loafing around. Go and find him quickly!” Keshton growled, his eyes turning cold.
With a nod, the man hurried off in search of Healer Trace, knowing that failure to locate him could have severe consequences at the hands of Alpha Keshton.
The room fell into dead silence, leaving Keshton and Sibyl alone. Sibyl expected Keshton to leave, but to her surprise he pulled up a chair and sat beside the bed. Their eyes met for a fleeting moment before she tore her gaze away, unable to look at him directly. She still awaited his response as to why he was willing to pay her bill. Was it because she was working in his pack? Or was it because she was in this state due to his pack members? Then… could it be that he intended to add this bill to her debt?!
She immediately looked at him, wanting to inquire about it, but paused when she found him staring at her body. Her clothes were torn, her chest was nearly exposed, with shreds of clothing covering her rear. In alarm, she put one hand on her breasts, realizing she had forgotten about her state of undress due to her pain and dizziness. The intensity of his gaze only quickened her heartbeat for some reason.
“What are you looking at?” she frowned at him.
Keshton glanced at her red ears, her failed attempt to cover herself resembling a wild cat. “Why did you not run away?”
Sibyl’s hand shifted slightly. “If running was an option, I would have done it long ago,” she murmured, earning an emotionless stare from Keshton that she found provocative.
“That’s a lie. You could have beaten him, but you took the hit,” Keshton asserted.
Sibyl felt as if her veil had been ripped off by this man, leaving her emotionally naked. She clenched her fist and admitted. “True, I took the hit, but did I have the luxury to dodge when the other option offered to me was the door to a brothel?” Her eyes glistened with a hint of moisture as she continued after a brief pause, “I was just too scared of the thought of going to a brothel. Taking a few hits was better than spending the rest of my life in a hell from which there was no hope of me ever returning to a normal life.”
“Normal life?” Keshton questioned, reaching for a tray of ice from the freezer. He sat on the bed across from her, his expression unreadable. “What is this about?” he murmured.
“A normal life that I will live after I pay off my debt. Away from rogues and in peace,” Sibyl explained, but Keshton’s hand paused when he heard her mention leaving after clearing her debt.
His eyes seemed distant, lost in thought, which made Sibyl frown. Then, without a word, he silently retrieved an ice cube and placed it on the corner of her bleeding lips, “First pay off your debt.”
Sibyl felt a sharp hiss escape her lips as the sudden chill of the ice cube touched her wound, but she couldn’t decipher Keshton’s intentions. It seemed as though he was implying that she should abandon her plans, as if he intended for her to be tied to him for the rest of her life. Lost in thought, she felt his warm breath against her face as he gently rubbed the ice on her injured lips.
Raising her eyes and found herself locking gazes with him. They were too close, and she instinctively clenched the bedsheets beneath her. Their breaths mingled and her heartbeat quickened in response. Memories of the frightening look in his eyes as he killed Noah, followed by his sudden shift in demeanor that was nothing but craziness when he asked her to stop, flashed through her mind, causing her heart to race even faster.
Sibyl licked her lips before asking, her voice soft, “Why did you kill him?”
Keshton’s hand didn’t falter in its motion with the ice as he replied, “He touched something that belongs to me.” His words were as direct as ever, but before she could process them fully, he abruptly dropped the ice and pulled her into a kiss. Sibyl’s eyes widened as he added,” I hate it when other men touch you.”
