Chapter 14
Right after Jessica left, Daniel came rushing over.
“Lauren, look! So many people are rooting for us, hoping we get married.”
He pulled up the comment section–full of “Respect and blessings” and “Lock them down forever” spammed like
wildfire.
I was honestly stunned.
Daniel actually posted our photo on a public platform just to keep me around–and that pic was from a whole year
ago.
He even claimed to be the piano guy himself.
“Lauren, you said you forgave me. Jessica’s pregnant… that was a mistake from the past.”
He totally ignored the sarcastic comments flooding his phone and pleaded for my forgiveness.
I took a deep breath.
“Didn’t you say you guys didn’t even go all the way?”
“That kid’s definitely not mine!”
I wasn’t about to argue.
“Daniel, you should leave now. I’ve got a ton of patients waiting.”
He grabbed my hand.
“Lauren, so you forgive me, right?”
“I told you ages ago–we’re done. We’re off the books.”
I brushed his hand away.
“Since you’ve got a kid with her, fine. I respect that. Now please, leave.”
After he left, Rachel hurried over.
“Girl, I know you’re too kind to get back at him, but this dude’s clearly obsessed.”
“Since he’s making it official online, why don’t you do the same?”
Good call.
That night, I reactivated the account I’d been ignoring for months and posted a statement.

Chapter 14
I made it clear: me and Piano Guy?
We’ve been separated, and it’s a clean break.
I followed Rachel’s advice and included the full backstory–no way was I getting blamed for his mess.
That post exploded.
Daniel instantly became the target of a shitstorm.
Everyone with a keyboard had something nasty to say–his comment section drowned in hate.
Next day, Kevin told me Daniel couldn’t even get into work.
All his bookings got canceled.
He owed nearly six figures in penalties.
“Daniel’s a wreck now. Lauren, you’re brutal!”
He was up for a promotion, but after I stirred the pot? No chance now.
