Chapter 159 Holographic Online Game
It turned out she really didn’t play much and just preferred to stay idle.
Louis sighed inwardly.
Well, that’s fine.
“So, you must be quite familiar with the game’s scenery then?”
“Uh, sort of.”
What did he mean by “familiar with the scenery“? Who actually studied game scenery? Freya thought to herself.
Louis’s train of thought was truly beyond my comprehension.
Still, it wasn’t all bad. There was a time when I had delved into filmmaking after my novel’s copyright was sold. I hadn’t grasped much, but my photography skills had improved enough to impress amateurs.
Not to boast, but I had a knack for capturing stunning in–game screenshots. If not for concerns about my health, I might have even used the game’s video tools to adapt my novel.
But that had nothing to do with “studying scenery.” I never analyzed landscapes–I just screenshot what looked pretty. At most, I’d dabbled in composition and color theory.
“Good. Since you’re here, why not lend a hand?” Louis refilled Freya’s teacup as he spoke.
“What kind of hand?” Louis needing her help? Now that was rare.
“Ever heard of holographic online games?”
Of course I had.
“Yes, of course. They’re in a lot of novels. It’s my dream–a ‘to do list in
my
lifetime“.”
“A ‘to do list in your lifetime?“” Louis paused mid–pour.
“It means something you might spend your whole life waiting for but never see. Originally, it described authors who left stories unfinished, leaving readers hanging. Later, it expanded to other things people desperately hoped for but doubt will ever happen.”
“Well, you can relax. You’ll see it in your lifetime,” Louis set the teapot down. “Want to give it

a try?”
What did he mean?
Freya’s jaw dropped. Shock rendered her brain completely frozen.

Seeing her wide–eyed, slack–jawed expression, Louis couldn’t help but put down his cup. He gently pinched her chin and nudged it upward, closing her gaping mouth.
“No need to be so surprised. This institute has a holographic online game project, and it’s nearly complete. Since you’ve got an eye for game scenery, why not test it out? Check the landscapes and give the researchers some feedback later.”
Freya finally found her voice, though it trembled.
“You’re saying… This institute developed a holographic online game? The kind where your consciousness enters the game, like you’re really living inside it?”
“If that’s what you mean, then yes,” Louis nodded.
Freya’s expression cycled through a whirlwind of emotions.
My unlucky death and transmigration, the plot ending only to face bankruptcy with Louis, even the fact that I couldn’t divorce him yet–none of it mattered anymore. What had I just heard? A holographic online game! A VR MMO. All my misfortunes are nothing now!
My once “to do list in my lifetime” dream is about to come true. God truly helps me!
