“Once you’ve learned enough from Louis, come train with me. I’ve got plenty going on lately,” Louis said as he set his wine glass down. It landed on the table with a quiet clink.
Kendrick’s eyes widened. “Huh? But didn’t Baylon say he didn’t need any help back then?”
Baylon chuckled silently. Of course he didn’t need help–he hadn’t offended Freya. Unlike Kendrick, who always stuck his neck out just in time to get hit. Louis was definitely going to teach him a lesson.
But even after saying that, Louis still stood up and nodded at Freya. “Let’s go.”
Freya blinked. “Huh? You really want to dance?”
“You’ll have to learn eventually!” Louis took her hand and led her toward the ice floor.
Freya could feel the warmth in her hand rising with every second. Louis had held her hand before, but those were all special circumstances.

She’d never thought much of it. But now, under the gaze of everyone in the room, being led like this, her heartbeat definitely picked up. It’s just a reflex. That’s all it is! Being pulled by a handsome guy, it’s just basic instinct.
She told herself that, then took a deep breath and slowly let it out. Much better; she felt calmer.

But unfortunately, the big shot wasn’t listening. And now, with so many people staring at them curiously or with surprise, Freya couldn’t bring herself to say no.
As he pulled her onto the dance floor, they barely had time to settle into position when she felt a hand wrap around her waist. Her gown wasn’t very thick to begin with, and the slightly chilly evening made her skin extra sensitive. The touch at her waist made her shiver.
“Follow my lead.” Louis leaned in and spoke right next to her ear.
The warmth of his breath flowed straight into her ear. Instinctively, Freya shot him a glare. Why so close? Can’t you just speak like a normal person?
Not to mention the way people around them were staring–it was enough to make her feel like they were about to burst into flames.
But in Louis‘ eyes, all he saw was Freya widening her eyes like a startled little bunny. A mix of surprise and disbelief–it made her look absolutely adorable. He gave her a reassuring pat.
“Don’t worry. I’ll guide you through it.”
Freya hadn’t been lying when she said she couldn’t dance. She had never learned, and it had never been relevant in her life. Of course she hadn’t bothered picking it up.
Now she was entirely relying on Louis. Her hand was in his, her waist held firmly. Every step followed his lead. When she fell out of sync, Louis would gently lift her by the waist to bring her back in line. Freya had no idea he was that strong.
She felt like a toy in his hands. She didn’t even have time to think about anyt…g else; just keeping up with his rhythm took all her focus.
But to the onlookers, it was a completely different picture. Freya looked small and graceful, and while Louis clearly led the entire pace, it was obvious she was keeping up.
