Louis handed over most of the loot to Freya. “What’s not right about it? You want to do it instead?”
Baylon protested in outrage. “That’s just shameless mooching!”
Louis replied coolly, “You jealous?”
Baylon had nothing to say to that. Of course I’m jealous. What, I’m not allowed to be jealous now?
Kendrick clapped Baylon on the shoulder. “Don’t take it too hard, Baylon. One day you’ll get a wife too. Then you can ask her why she showed up so late.”
Waylon’s laughter drew a sharp glare from Baylon. Hmph, a guy who still hasn’t landed Ms. Jasmine is laughing at me? What’s so funny? Doesn’t he worry he’ll never win her over?
After logging off, they all had dinner together. Kendrick took the chance to bring something up with Louis.
“Louis, honestly, Freya’s pretty skilled. Let her stream with me, yeah? The whole pretty–boy- and–girl combo will attract way more views. If you’re not okay with her showing her face, we can keep her off–cam. If you don’t want people to hear her voice, she can use a voice changer.”
“Wait, there are tons of female gaming streamers out there, and you’re asking Freya to be your partner? Kendrick, what are you even thinking?” Baylon couldn’t believe his nerve.
“I’m streaming here every day. I can’t keep bothering Louis; he’s busy these days. If Freya comes over, it saves him the trouble. Besides, you all know how it is–I’m handsome, I’m rich. Inviting random streamers could get messy. But Freya’s one of us; way more convenient.”
Kendrick turned to Freya. “Freya, I heard you stay home writing novels every day. Just come over and write here instead. When I need you, I’ll call you. You just back me up when I ask. I mean, I’m here helping your family business for free–don’t tell me you’re just gonna leave me hanging.”

Freya shrugged. “So, in the end, it’s still all for your fans.”
Kendrick raised an eyebrow, a smug smile on his face, and shot her a look. “Freya gets me.”
She rolled her eyes and went back to her computer. “I’ve never streamed before and don’t know how. Just tell me what you need me to do.”
“Relax, I don’t need you to do much. Just write your novel like usual. If I need something, I’ll say so, and you just follow my lead.”
Kendrick grabbed her mouse and set up the streaming interface for ho to writing.
