“You’re good anyway. Freya made up her mind. Tll do the cameo. I’m also kind of curious to see how I’d look on camera anyway”
“Go for it. Let me know if you need anything Louis said.
Freya gave Zane her confirmation, and his face lit up instantly. He immediately whisked her off to the makeup artist, emphasizing repeatedly that they had to be meticulous, careful, and dedicated–aiming to bring the High Priestess to life.
Sitting still while a makeup artist worked on her was a first for Freya, and she found it fascinating. Since it was a period drama, her hair had to be styled as well. The makeup artist marveled at the quality of her hair, fussing over it for nearly an hour before finally finishing the look.
When Freya stepped out, everyone around her froze. Clara, who was closest, darted over and pulled her left and right, examining her from every angle.
“Oh my God, it’s uncanny. You look exactly like the High Priestess in the flesh. Freya, you should wear makeup more often. You’re absolutely stunning like this.”
Others nearby quickly crowded around, chiming in.
“Ms. Stone, you’re breathtaking. Can I take a picture?”
“Ms. Stone, you’re going to look even more amazing on screen. I can’t wait to see you in the show.
“Looking at you, I finally get why the High Priestess drove so many people crazy. I’m al woman, and I’m even falling for you.”
Photos weren’t allowed on set without permission, and Freya wasn’t comfortable being photographed randomly. She quickly declined.
“Thanks, everyone, but no pictures. The show will be out soon anyway. I should go check in with Zane first. You all chat.”
With that, she hurried off, leaving Clara and the others laughing at her obvir
embarrassment.
When Zane saw Freya, his reaction was just as awestruck.

“Yes! This is exactly it! Well, if I’d realized you were the perfect fit from the start, we could ve saved so much time. Just stand there, and the audience won’t have a single complaint
He rubbed his hands together, then tentatively asked, “Freya… have you ever thought about joining the entertainment industry?”
Freya shook her head immediately. “No way. A cameo is one thing, but actual acting? Not for me. My dream is to be a screenwriter, a great one. Acting isn’t my thing.”
Zane was a little disappointed but not surprised. “What a waste of your appearance. But to each your own. I get it. You do have a real gift for writing–even Mr. Daniel’s mentioned you to me a few times. Anyway, let’s focus on the cameo for now. It’s almost lunch. Eat first, then we’ll shoot your scenes.”
“Sure, no problem. I’ve already memorized the script.” Freya said.
Thanks to Sophia’s meddling, I had gone over the script so many times that the lines were practically etched into my
brain.
Louis had ordered lunch. When Freya went to find him, he looked up and froze for a second.
Freya tugged at her sleeve, suddenly self–conscious. “What? Does it look weird?”
Louis reached out, pulled her down to sit beside him, and sighed. “No. You’re too beautiful. It
you look just makes me realize what a good man I am–letting you do a cameo even when this stunning.”
Freya’s face burned. Louis had never complimented her so openly before.
Derek arrived with their lunch and did a/double take. “Ms. Stone, are you switching careers to acting?”
“Nope, just a cameo. Hey, where were you earlier?”
“I was outside, handling work stuff in the car. Don’t worry about me–just eat and chat like usual. I’m always like this.”
Freya felt a little guilty. “You should join us. Staying cooped up in the car can’t be comfortable.”
Given the choice, who’d want to stay in a car all day?
Derek glanced at Louis, who cleared his throat–realizing he’d forgotten about him.

“Right. I’m not leaving today. Do whatever you want. Just be back by nine tomorrow morning.”
That was basically a free pass. Derek grinned, “Got it. Enjoy your meal. I’ll head out now?
He turned and bolted, as if afraid Louis might change his mind.
Freya stared after him, bewildered. “What’s up with him? Do you overwork him or something?”
“Nah. Probably just worried about his cat.” Louis unpacked their food. “Don’t mind him. Let’s eat.”
After lunch, Freya listened to Zane’s directing notes and nodded nervously. “Okay, I’ll give it a shot.”
But once she was in front of the camera, her nerves vanished. She took a deep breath and immersed herself in the role, pretending she really was the High Priestess. The way she’d imagined herself acting before now unfolded in reality, as if her past and present selves had merged. At that moment, she was the High Priestess.
