“Speaking of which, shouldn’t you be getting to bed?” Freya looked at Aiden with a cheerful smile.
Aiden pouted. “Fine. Freya, you’re just so…”
“So what?” another voice cut in.
“Uh-” Aiden’s words took a sharp turn as he saw Louis suddenly emerge from the bedroom. His face turned serious. “So incredibly smart.”
Freya chuckled and patted his head. “Good boy. Now go to bed.”
“You’ll be doing a math test tomorrow morning. Louis said, holding a cup in his hand.
Aiden’s face fell. “Huh? Why? I didn’t even say anything bad about Freya!”
“Your teacher told me you haven’t been putting in much effort lately,” Louis said after taking a sip of water. “She wants to see if you’re actually mastering the material and just unmotivated, or if you’re slacking off.”
“How could I be slacking? I already know everything she’s teaching. It’s way too easy–I don’t want to waste my time! I even told her that already!”
“That’s why you’ll do the test tomorrow and send it to her. It’ll put her mind at ease,” Louis said, finalizing the decision.

“I’m sure you’ll raise our kids to be even cuter one day,” Louis said, sounding relaxed and
certain.
Just seeing how patient, loving, and principled Freya was made it obvious that their kids would never turn out badly. And with him setting the example, the kids wouldn’t even have the chance to be mediocre if they tried.
Freya chose not to respond to that topic. “That’s a matter for the future. Aren’t you going to bed?”

“I’ve got a few hundred more words to finish. Once I’m done, I’ll sleep. With that, Freya went back to writing.
Louis watched her peaceful side profile, the corner of his lips lifting in a smile. He didn’t say anything more.
Meanwhile, another group chat–not the one Freya was in, but a different one the others had set up–was buzzing with activity.
Did you see that? Freya won’t even acknowledge us anymore. Tch, just because she’s doing well now, she’s acting all high and mighty. She used to at least know how to be polite. Now she acts like we don’t
even exist.
Come on, it’s not like she’s doing well just for a moment–she’s going to be riding high for a long time. We might all hit rock bottom and she’ll still be thriving. Who would’ve guessed Mr. Graham would make a comeback, and such a fast one at that?
And who would’ve thought that Mr. Graham would finally get a chance to cut ties with Freya… but didn’t? He actually thinks she’s a good woman? Please. She just has no idea what to do with herself post- divorce, that’s all.
Exactly. And now everyone’s putting her on a pedestal like she’s some saint. Mr. Graham must be blind. The funniest part is my brother said he envies Mr. Graham for marrying her. I laughed so hard. Men are hopeless!
Seriously, she was only with Mr. Graham for a few months when things weren’t so rough. Anyone can fake it for that long. Now she’s walking around like she played some huge role in his comeback. Isn’t she embarrassed?
Either way, Mr. Graham is clearly into her. She’s in a good position now, and we have to admit it. But the real question is–should we keep staying in touch with her?

Yeah, especially since she’s Mr. Graham’s chosen one. Still, I doubt the’ll stay on top forever. Mr. Graham might like her now because of their past, but he’s not going to treat her well forever just for that. He’s been around enough amazing women. How long do you think he’ll put up with someone like Freja- someone with no depth at all?
Well, to be fair, Freya is a top university grad. And don’t forget about her looks!
Good point. That probably means Mr. Graham’s infatuation will last a bit longer. Honestly, that might be a good thing. At least we already know Freya. Imagine if he ended up with someone completely unfamiliar and impossible to deal with. That would be a nightmare.
