Just then, Louis walked in. Compared to Freya’s carefully styled beauty, all he needed was a simple suit. His presence didn’t need any effort to be felt–he wore elegance and dominance like a second skin. As he walked toward Freya, he looked like a prince from some royal house, radiating innate nobility that couldn’t be hidden.
Aiden pouted. “Wherever Uncle Louis is, no one sees me. When am I gonna be as handsome as him?”
“Trust me–just grow up. But even now, you’re already the cutest little guy,” Freya said, the compliment slipping out easily. In her heart, though, she had to admit Louis’s looks and aura were absolutely top–tier.
“You’re just trying to make me feel better. But do you like me?” Aiden tilted his head and asked.
“Of course I do! I like you the most,” Freya replied cheerfully.
“Then who’s more handsome–me or Uncle Louis?”
Freya didn’t even hesitate. “You, obviously. You’re the most handsome.”
Louis gave Aiden a glance. Aiden suppressed a grin and replied with a smug tone, “Fine, I like you best too.”
The stylist nearby chuckled. “Now, now, there’s a difference between ‘like‘ and ‘like the most,” you know,”
“I know. Freya likes Uncle Louis as a man, and she likes me just because she likes me.” Aiden blinked innocently. “But feelings can change. Pure like doesn’t.”
The stylist laughed out loud. “Not bad, not bad–definitely your uncle’s student, ha!”

Aiden trailed obediently behind them. After grabbing a bite to eat and resting for a bit, the three of them headed to the venue for the evening’s gala.
At the entrance to the villa, the hosts were already waiting to receive them. This time, it was a young couple. The moment the young man saw Louis, he came forward warmly.

“And this must be Aiden. He’s getting cuter by the day.” The young woman bore a bit of resemblance to the man, and greeted them all with a beaming smile.
“Come in, please. Make yourselves at home. Don’t be formal with us.”
The man gave a small gesture to one of the attendants, who immediately bowed and motioned for them to enter. Louis said very little. Calm and composed, he led Freya inside by the hand.
Inside the villa, people were gathered in small clusters. The moment some guests noticed. Louis, they began drifting in his direction. He glanced casually around the decor, still holding Freya’s hand, and led her to the buffet area. Aiden followed close behind.
Fortunately, most of the guests had enough sense not to crowd them. After settling Freya near the food, Louis gave her a few words of instruction. With her agreement, he left.

Freya handed him one without hesitation. “Exactly. So you’d better enjoy it while you can. Otherwise, you’ll end up working just as hard as your uncle one day.”
“You’re right, Freya.” Aiden’s cheeks puffed as he chewed, then swallowed and added, “Totally right.”
Freya was just about to respond when she suddenly sensed someone sitting down beside her -and a slightly familiar voice followed.
“Freya, wow, it’s been so long!”
The woman had a sweet, innocent–looking face, but for some reason, Freya immediately felt uneasy. After digging through her memories, she remembered: this was one of the infamous pretentious ones from that group. The kind men never seemed to notice.
“Oh, it’s you. Yeah, it’s been a while.” Freya kept it polite–no need to offend so without good reason.
