Chapter 325 Office Surprise
Chapter 325 Office Surprise
Louis powered on the laptop for her, giving meticulous instructions.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. I’m not a kid anymore,” Freya said with an obedient nod.
Louis couldn’t resist ruffling her hair. “Good girl.”
The two assistants standing nearby nearly dropped their tablets. Their minds reeled–since when did Mr. Graham act so tender? The man who usually wore a “don’t bother me” scowl, the one who made employees wrap up reports in under thirty seconds, was now patiently explaining what she can
do?
When Louis finally left for his meeting, the assistants hesitantly approached Freya’s desk.
“Mrs. Graham, is there anything you need?” the male assistant asked.
“Nothing, thanks. You can go about your work–I’ll just relax here,” Freya replied with a smile. After double–checking she had everything, the pair retreated to the adjacent break room.
“Dude,” the male assistant whispered, “Mrs. Graham is unreal. Like, top–three most beautiful people I’ve ever seen in real life.”
“Exactly,” the female assistant agreed. “I’ve only seen this kind of girl on the tv show. Anna’s been trying to get his attention for months, but come on–with a wife like that? I’d be whispering sweet nothings too. Just looking at her makes my day better.”
“Now I get why Mr. Graham turns into such a softie around her. Dude’s usually got that ‘back off scowl for everyone else. But damn, if I had a wife that gorgeous, I’d be whispering sweet nothings too. Just looking at her makes my day better. I wish I could snap a pic.”
“Keep dreaming, buddy. That’s A–list celebrity level beauty–all natural too. No way someone like us could land that. Best we can hope is Mr. Graham brings her around more often so we can at least enjoy the view.”
“What are you two doing here?”
The door swung open to reveal Anna, a sharp–suited senior analyst. The assistants jumped
- up.
“Anna. Mr. Graham brought his wife today,” the female assistant explained quickly. “We’re on standby in case she needs anything.”

“His wife?” Anna froze. “What?”
“Just, Mr. Graham’s wife! Anna, you should see her, she’s absolutely stunning. I always thought Mr. Graham was cold to everyone, but around his wife? A completely different person.
So gentle and tive.”
The male assistant chimed in eagerly, “Exactly! Before his meeting. Mr. Graham gave us all these instructions, like he was terrified we might slight her. I’ve never seen him so meticulous. The way he treats her, it’s really scaring her, getting bored or what.”
“He told Mrs. Graham to make herself at home in his office, and said to call us if she needs help carrying anything. We’re basically just waiting here in case she needs us.”
The female assistant sat back down, tugging at her colleague’s sleeve to signal he should stop standing around awkwardly.
“What do you two understand now?” Anna snapped without thinking. “You can’t possibly understand Mr. Graham’s situation. It’s far more complicated than it appears.” She waved her hand dismissively.
“Never mind, there’s no point explaining to you. We’re just assistants, after all,” the female assistant said with surface–level sincerity that didn’t match her private thoughts. “Of course we don’t have your insight, Anna.”
Distracted and agitated, Anna didn’t notice their expressions. “Enough chatter. I’m going to see for myself.”
When the knock came, Freya didn’t look up from her writing. “Come in.”
She was at a crucial point in her novel, the creative flow too precious to interrupt. Only after finishing the passage did she glance up to see a sharply dressed professional woman standing before her.
Though Freya had never worked in an office herself, she instinctively admired career–driven women. Anyone who could thrive in the competitive corporate world earned her respect, so her tone was gentle when she spoke.
