“I don’t agree with the earlier comment. Being a stay–at–home wife can be a happy choice too; it just depends on whether the man you end up with is trash or not. This is a matter of character–and clearly. Mr. Dean here is a man with no character at all!”
“I’m a lawyer, boost this post! I’m willing to help Ms. Grace sue him and take back everything that’s rightfully hers. Protecting women is everyone’s responsibility!”
“Bump the lawyer’s post up! Let Ms. Grace see it. We need more good lawyers like this in the world.”
Freya read with great interest, picking and choosing a few juicy ones to read out loud to Louis. Partway through, she suddenly paused and narrowed her eyes.
“You guys didn’t set this up behind the scenes, did you?”
“It’s not like we schemed against him,” Louis replied calmly. “Kendrick and the others just made Dean’s misdeeds public.”
The best way to defuse a scandal was to toss out something even more attention–grabbing. Compared to Sophia, a third–rate actress, and Freya, who wasn’t yet widely known as a writer, Dean was a far more recognizable public figure. Naturally, the spotlight would shift.
As for the things trending on Twitter, they were all real. Waylon had dug around just a bit and already uncovered most of Dean’s shady dealings. They hadn’t exposed him before only because they didn’t want to stoop to that level. But since Dean had played dirty first, they had no reason to keep playing fair.
Dean loved using Twitter to guide public opinion and Sebastiann others. This time, he could have a taste of his own medicine, see what it was like to be buried under a mountain of
rumors.
Freya could only see what was on Twitter, and everything she knew came from the surface. She had no clue what had actually gone on behind the scenes to make all this happen.
She didn’t know Kendrick had stayed up working on this until the early hours of the morning. She didn’t know how much effort Waylon had spent not only organizing the information but also persuading Grace to come forward.
She definitely didn’t know that, because of that single post, Sebastian was on the verge of exploding at the residence.
“Grandpa,” Sebastian furned, “You’re the one who said Twitter was my responsibility. For years now, I’ve done everything you told me to. But last night, you didn’t even say a word to me before posting that dirt on Dean. Where does that leave me?”

He’d just explained everything to Savannah last night–clear, honest, nothing held back. She had agreed to stop smearing Freya and just focus on cleaning up Sophia’s image. He’d only just settled the matter and gone to bed when his grandfather released that post about Dean. Everything he’d said, everything he’d promised, was now a joke. How was Savannah supposed to see him now?
The more Sebastian thought about it, the more furious he got.
“If I’ve done something to disappoint you, you could’ve just told me. What’s the meaning of this? Even a dog gets a command before being ordered to fetch something. After this, I’m a joke–an absolute joke!”
Ella rushed to grab Sebastian’s arm, panicking. “Watch your tone when you speak to your

Andres waved her off, his face stony and unmoved.
“Let him speak. Let him vent. You should open your eyes too and take a good look–see just how close your grandson really is to you. In his eyes, what matters more, his reputation, or the two old fools who raised him? Or maybe it’s the Wells family legacy he cares most about.”
His words were sharp–too sharp. Ella could sense something was off. Sebastian had already blown up, yet Andres still didn’t seem the least bit appeased. She quickly tried to smooth things over.
“Oh come on, it’s just a family squabble. What’s with all the heavy talk? You’re not getting any younger–you know better than to take things so seriously. Sebastian is still young; it’s normal that he can’t see things clearly sometimes. Just guide him a little. Don’t keep throwing barbs.”
“He doesn’t need my guidance anymore. He’s in such a hurry to hand the Wells family’s assets over to the Scotts. The second he saw that girl from the Scott family, he completely lost his sense of direction–hmph!”
Andres still spoke with a fire in his chest, and not even Ella could soothe him.
Only then did Sebastian realize why Andres had been acting this way toward him. Turns out, it was all about his closeness to Savannah. That’s what had pissed him off.
Now that he understood the root of the problem, Sebastian didn’t feel quite so angry–but he still couldn’t make sense of it. His tone remained stubborn, the resistance in his voice slipping out unconsciously.

Ella backed her grandson. “Exactly! Sebastian’s been so obedient. You told him not to touch that, and he didn’t.
“Oh sure,” Andres scoffed. “So I slap you once, and then I tell you I won’t slap you a second time, and that’s supposed to make it okay?”
