Chapter 53 The Discussion
“Hahahaha!” Waylon burst out laughing. “You’re right–going for satisfaction is the way to go. Hah!”

Baylon didn’t mind being laughed at in the slightest. So what if he wasn’t wired like some highbrow intellectual? It wasn’t the end of the world. He’d never been as sharp as Louis anyway.
“By the way, Louis, what are you planning to do? I just don’t buy that that fool is that good. No one’s a prophet. There’s no way he could’ve anticipated every move. Are you sure there’s no mole?”
Louis’s faint smile disappeared in an instant. After a pause, he said, “I honestly don’t know where the problem lies. I didn’t tell anyone about the plan, and yet it still got out. If it were just a mole, it wouldn’t explain this.”
The moment he started talking about it, both Baylon and Waylon leaned in, listening intently.
Waylon asked, “Want me to go over your stuff again? Maybe there’s some advanced surveillance tech I missed the first time.”
Louis shook his head. “I don’t think that’s it. I later stayed at a different place without taking anything with me. Even changed all my clothes. Still didn’t make a difference.”
Baylon slapped his thigh. “What, does the guy have superpowers or something? Even your older brothers couldn’t handle him?”
At that, Waylon’s face darkened too. “No good. We tried teaming up to take him down before. Whether it was a trap or a head–on confrontation, he avoided everything. Somehow, he got in good with the Wynn family. Mr. Wynn himself came forward to mediate, which was basically a veiled threat.”
“Mr. Wynn? No way. He stopped getting involved in the younger generation’s messes years ago,” Baylon said, face turning sour. “That guy–Ji or whatever–he’s disgusting. If you’re gonna fight, fight fair. Bringing in outside help? Seriously?”

Waylon let out a cold laugh. “What did you think this was, a schoolyard fight? ‘You hit me, now I hit
“Damn it. Why would Mr. Wynn help him? He’s not exactly known for being warmhearted.” Baylon glared at Waylon, waiting for an explanation.
Waylon gave a chilling smile. “Rumor has it the guy’s wife saved Mr. Wynn by sheer luck—and she left quite the impression
on him.”
“But why’s he targeting Louis? It’s not like his construction business has anything to do with Louis’s industries. Even if he expands all he wants, there’s no direct conflict.” Baylon was anxiously twisting his fingers–clearly at his wits‘ end.
Seeing his two brothers‘ grim expressions, Louis suddenly chuckled. “Relax. Things are better now, aren’t they? No need to stress over it. I’m penniless now–perfect chance to see what he’s really after.”
Now that he had nothing left–completely broke–it was the perfect test. He could finally find out whether the guy was targeting him, or just going after assets for his own gain..
“So, Louis, are you planning to focus only on your tech business now?” Baylon asked, worried. “That sector takes huge investment. Who knows how long it’ll take to see results?”
Louis took a sip of tea, voice calm and composed, but carrying a quiet confidence that was hard to ignore.
“Tech is the best industry for the future. I’ve been wanting to restructure and upgrade everything for a while. Before, I had to drag along the Graham family–those leeches. Now that I’m free of them, things are a lot easier. I think this is better.”
