Chapter 5
The moment the male reporter saw the report, he frowned slightly.
Before he could ask any questions, my mother leaned close to his
ear and whispered a few words. Instantly, his expression turned
dark and grim.
When the male reporter looked at me again, his eyes were filled
with coldness and disgust.
Though I had anticipated he would show such an expression, a
wave of sadness still washed over me.
His reaction undoubtedly confirmed that I was indeed a damned
whore.
After hearing my mother’s words, the male reporter immediately
distanced himself from me.
Then, he turned to the other media and onlookers, saying loudly:
“Since this is their family matter, we shouldn’t get too involved.
Her parents and husband are all gynecologists–they couldn’t all
misdiagnose the fetus together.
“Besides, if there really were any issues, they would have resolved
them at the police station..

“After all, this involves an unborn child. Everyone should stay out
of it.”
With that, he signaled his team to leave.
When he looked back at me, his eyes were filled with hatred.
The others seemed confused, especially some reporters who still wanted to get the truth for a news story.
But when they saw how decisively the male reporter left, they all stopped in their tracks.
They began to speculate that perhaps even if they knew the truth,
they wouldn’t be able to report it.
The crowd quickly dispersed.
I stood alone on the empty street, a heavy, oppressive feeling
weighing on my heart, making me wish I could die right there.
But I was already someone who had died once–what couldn’t I
get through?
Seeing my pained expression, my mother cursed under her breath
and slapped my already swollen face again.
“Slut! Stop pretending! Don’t you know what kind of person you

are?”

I forced a bitter smile and said through gritted teeth: “I’ll abort this child. If you don’t want to see me, let’s cut ties right now. I’ll never appear before you again.”
They exchanged glances, still unsatisfied with my concession.
Titus’s expression remained dark and grim: “Just having an abortion isn’t enough.”
Must I die?” I looked up, tears in my eyes.
This time, Titus avoided my gaze. After all, we had loved each other for so many years–hearing me ask this still made him
hesitate.
But I never expected that the person who truly wanted me dead
was my father, who had cherished me since childhood.
He said: “Your existence only makes each of us feel disgusted.”
I didn’t respond, but instead scheduled an abortion appointment right in front of them.
“After the surgery, I won’t stay in the country. I’ll never appear before you again in this lifetime. Just consider me dead.”

With that, I took a taxi to the hospital.

The surgery was quick. Throughout the entire process, I felt no sadness, lying numbly on the hospital bed, only feeling that my body was still unclean, still stained with that child’s blood.
I felt nauseous and couldn’t calm down enough to rest properly in bed.
I checked out early, wanting to go to a hotel for a good shower and leave the country as soon as possible.
But I never expected that before I’d gotten far from the hospital, someone would cover my mouth and drag me into a dark alley.
I struggled desperately, but having just had surgery, my body was weak and I couldn’t break free from several men’s control.
“She just had an abortion–the smell on her is disgusting. I can’t
do this.”
“So what? Don’t you want the money? Doing it with this kind of
slutty woman is the most exciting!”
They began tearing at my clothes. I closed my eyes in pain and
completely gave up struggling.
So even after choosing to leave, they still wouldn’t let me go.
