But this time, I grabbed my mother’s hand. “What did I do wrong? He’s the one who drugged me, he’s the one who violated me, he’s
the one who ran away after you caught him! You’re the ones who lied to me! So why should I bear the consequences of all this!”
My mother said I’d lost my mind.
I laughed bitterly. “You’re the ones who’ve lost your minds. From
the moment you saw the prenatal test results, you knew Titus and I couldn’t possibly have a child with that blood type–you knew it
was my brother’s child. When Titus saw that report, he confirmed
that something had indeed happened between my brother and
me, and that I was carrying his child. He felt humiliated and deceived he wanted both me and the baby dead. And you? You
were disgusted and wanted me dead too, even fantasizing that if I died, maybe your son would come back?”
I let out a shaky breath. My trembling breathing seemed to wrench at my organs, making my whole body ache.
Back then, I didn’t dare believe it, didn’t dare speak up, didn’t dare
admit it–I even loathed myself. But what had I done wrong?
My mother clenched her teeth, her eyes terrifying. “Selena, you’ve lost your mind, saying such lies. We’re sending you to a mental
institution.”
I burst out laughing. Because in my previous life, she’d said the

exact same thing. But this time, they couldn’t send me away.
After my mother spoke, reporters and undercover police swarmed
forward.
My mother looked surprised and shouted: “You actually believe what a crazy person says!”
I looked at her coldly. “My brother has already turned himself in. You didn’t expect that, did you?”
My mother stood frozen, then finally laughed. “That’s because you, you slut, seduced my son!”
My mother was dragged away by police, screaming.
Actually, my brother hadn’t turned himself in. I was baiting them into revealing the truth. Now everyone completely understood
what had really happened.
They all condemned my parents for enabling such a monster while abusing the victim.
My parents were taken to the police station, but to formally charge
them would require a trial.
No one expected my brother to show up on the day of the trial.

My parents looked at him with joy, thinking he’d come to see
them.
However, my brother stabbed them: “You let this get exposed, got
my information leaked–now I have nowhere to go!”
My parents stared at him in shock and died on the spot.
My brother was sentenced to death.
Kelly and I posted online, thanking everyone for their help and
calling on all women who had suffered assault to bravely seek justice for themselves.
That male reporter was suspended pending investigation.
Titus was fired from the hospital. Women around him kept their
distance, and he never remarried.
And I, finally free from that hell, poured all my energy into my career, embracing my bright future.
