Chapter 109
Anathea immediately felt as though the bag was burning her hands “Mr. Harrington, my purse is not that expensive. You really don’t need to replace it.”
She put the bag back in the box and pushed it toward him.
Even though the Jacobsons used to be wealthy, they were never flashy. That was why Anathea had always preferred practical and comfortable things. She’d never carried anything this extravagant
And now, Theo had just casually handed her a luxury bag, which completely caught her off guard.
“I’ll decide if it’s expensive or not,” Theo said, not giving her a chance to refuse. “Just take it.”
“Thank you, Mr. Harrington, but I really can’t,” Anathea replied calmly.
Her wariness toward him had grown ever since the whole scorpion liquor incident. Something about him always kept her on alert.
Theo picked up on her cautious behavior instantly. As he realized how reckless he’d been before, his head throbbed.
Rubbing his forehead, he said awkwardly, “About last time… I owe you an apology. I let my temper get the best of me, and it affected you and your colleague.”
Anathea didn’t expect him to actually apologize. But that moment of sincerity was brief because he immediately followed it up with a take–it–or–else expression.
“If you don’t accept the bag, I’ll just cut it up. I won’t use it anyway. There’s no point in keeping it.”
Anathea was completely thrown by his mercurial behavior and frowned slightly. But when she saw him take out a pair of scissors, her eyes flickered with surprise.
Was he serious?
“Are you going to take it or not?” Theo asked.
Anathea pressed her lips together, not responding.
He stared at her. “No? Alright, then.”
The scissors were already touching the bag’s handle.
“Wait!” Anathea, who’d been raised to be frugal, finally stopped him.
Theo’s lips curled into a small smile he didn’t even realize was there as he put the scissors away. “Take it.”
Almost as if he was afraid she’d change her mind, he quickly grabbed her original purse and put everything out onto the table. Then, he opened the new bag and stuffed all her things in it.
“I’ll take care of this for you.” He stood up with her purse. “As for the floral arrangement, do whatever you want. Just s the finished product.”
Then, without waiting for a response, he left.
“Hey, wait-“.
Anathea tried to call after him, but he’d already bolted as if he was terrified she’d run after him.
She glanced down at the shiny new designer bag in her hand, feeling a little helpless. She had no idea what to do with it.
There was no way she would carry it around because she would feel as though she needed to protect something sacred. Moreover, showing up at the studio with a bag this pricey wasn’t a great look.

Maybe… she could sell it secondhand.
Her eyes lit up at the thought, and she grabbed the box as well. Having the box and the authenticity card would definitely bump up the resale value.
“You’re kidding, right? The big client was Mr. Harrington?” Evangeline asked in shock.
Lena, standing nearby, flinched the moment, she heard Theo’s name.
“It’s fine. He just wants a floral arrangement. Just treat him like a regular client,” Anathea said while sorting through materials.
She printed the shopping list and handed it to Lena. “Len, get the freshest flowers you can find based on this list.”
“Got it.” Lena took the list and asked, “When does he need it, Nat
“Hmm…” Anathea thought about her schedule. Fiona’s surgery was tomorrow, so she’d need to be there.
“The day after tomorrow.”
Since Theo said she had full creative control, and there weren’t any restrictions, she’d already sketched out the general layout in her head. She could finish it in about two hours and deliver it straight to him.
“Alright,” Lena replied.
“Can’t believe such a high–paying job turned out to be this smooth Well done, Nat!” Evangeline laughed and nudged Anathea with her elbow, looking at her curiously. “So, what’s going on with you and Mr. Harrington?”
