Chapter 126
Anathea hit the floor hard, pain radiating through her body, especially her lower abdomen. But nothing compared to the rage burning inside her.
She glared at Natalie, her eyes red. She looked as though she’d just crawled out of hell.
For a second, Natalie was caught off guard by the intensity in Anathea’s expression, but she quickly snapped out of it and chuckled.
“Staring at me as if you want to eat me alive isn’t going to help you”
She looked down at Anathea’s trembling hand bracing against the floor. Then, with a flash of cruelty in her eyes, she raised her foot, stomping on Anathea’s hand.
“Ah!” Anathea winced, her face going pale.
But Natalie didn’t stop. She pressed harder, grinding her heel into Anathea’s hand until the skin tore and blood started to seep out. Bits of grit and glass ground into the open wound.
Anathea nearly passed out from the pain.
Natalie smirked, clearly still not satisfied. She leaned in close, her voice low and venomous. “Tell you what, Greg actually knew that medicine was for your mom’s surgery, but he still gave it to me. You and your mom’s lives are worthless in his eyes. Suddenly, there was a loud crash in the room.
Everyone jolted in surprise and looked over to see that Anathea had slammed a vase off the table, shattering it on the ground.
While Natalie was stunned, Anathea snatched up a shard of broken glass. With one hand, she grabbed Natalie’s shoulder, and the other pressed the shard straight to her throat.
“Oh my god!”
Gasps filled the room. No one expected the quiet, fragile–looking woman to suddenly snap like that.
Natalie flinched as the edge of the glass nicked her neck. Panic set in instantly. “W–What are you doing?”
“Give me the medicine!” Anathea roared hoarsely, almost broken. Her hand was bleeding from gripping the shard, but she didn’t even seem to notice.
“You’re threatening me?” Natalie barked. “Are you not afraid Gregory will make you pay for this?”
The glass pressed even deeper into her skin, drawing a thin line of blood. Natalie froze, terror flooding her face.
“Stop! Stop!”
Anathea didn’t budge. Her eyes were bloodshot, her tone ice–cold. Give me the medicine.”
The glass slid even closer to the artery pulsing in Natalie’s neck.
That was when Natalie finally realized that Anathea would actually do it.
“Okay! Okay! I’ll give it to you! J–Just back off!” Her voice snook.
“Not until I have it in my hands,” Anathea stated, tightening her grip on Natalie’s shoulder.
Natalie sucked in a sharp breath from the pain. “Fine! I said I’ll give it to you!”
She quickly motioned for the doctor to bring the case over. Once it was within reach, she shoved it at Anathea.
Anathea grabbed it immediately and handed it to the nurse, her bloody palm staining her white sleeve red.
But she didn’t even flinch. Clutching the nurse’s arm, she begged, Please… Save my mom.”

The nurse looked at her, heart twisting, and nodded solemnly. “Don’t worry, Ms. Jacobson. We’ll do everything we can.”
With that, the nurse rushed toward the operating room with the medicine.
As soon as Natalie realized Anathea was distracted, she shouted toward the hallway, “Guards! Grab this psycho right now!”
Right on cue, a group of bodyguards burst in, their towering presence immediately closing in on Anathea.
She froze for a second, realizing they were Gregory’s bodyguards. He’d left his men with Natalie? That really said a lot about where she stood with him now.
Emboldened, Natalie lunged at Anathea, yanking her hair viciously “You crazy bitch! How dare you lay your hands on me?”
Anathea cried out in pain, her grip weakening. Natalie took advantage of it and shoved her to the ground, pinning her down.
The room erupted into chaos.
The two of them were on the floor, locked in a vicious fight.
Anathea felt as if her scalp was being ripped off. Instinct kicked in, and she slashed out with the glass in her hand.
“Ah!”
