Chapter 207
The staff froze for a second as she looked between Natalie and Anathea, unsure of what to do.
“In your dreams! Greg gave that to me!” Natalie snapped and immediately reached out to snatch it back, but Anathea was faster. She’d already taken the card and stepped away.
Natalie ended up grabbing at nothing, causing her to stumble forward and hit her elbow against the edge of the glass display
case.
The pain made her suck in a sharp breath, and a surge of anger flared up within her.
“Anathea!” Natalie shouted, her voice shrill.
“Mrs. Sinclair,” Anathea corrected her expressionlessly.
Compared to Natalie’s agitation, Anathea was ice–cold. Natalie was practically about to explode after seeing Anathea’s arrogant behavior and expression.
Just then, Martin walked in. Seeing him, Natalie rushed over immediately. “Martin, say something to her!”
Martin was Gregory’s right–hand man and usually followed Gregory’s instructions. Most of the time, his stance represented Gregory’s own.
Anathea also looked at Martin, her fingers loosening slightly around the black card.
For a moment, she regretted her impulsiveness.
Given how much Gregory favored Natalie, there was a good chance that by challenging Natalie like this in public–and using Gregory’s name–Anathea would only end up provoking him.
And Adam’s treatment…
Anathea grew tense, holding her breath as she looked at Martin.
Over the years, she hadn’t seen Martin that often, and they weren’t close. So, she had no idea how he would handle this.
But from what Anathea knew of him, he was completely loyal to Gregory. The odds of him taking her side were slim.
Anathea gradually lowered her head, her eyes growing dim with disappointment.
However, Martin saluted Anathea politely. “Mrs. Sinclair.‘
Anathea froze; Natalie’s eyes widened in shock.
Then, Martin turned to the staff, instructing, “This is Mrs. Sinclair. From now on, if she wants anything, just put it on Mr.
Sinclair’s tab.”
“So, you’re Mrs. Sinclair!” The staff’s eyes brightened instantly.
She became even more enthusiastic than before. “Pardon me for not recognizing you. Please allow me to show you the VIP lounge, Mrs. Sinclair. We just received a new collection of rings you can choose from!”
“That won’t be necessary. I’m not really in the mood to choose rings anymore,” Anathea replied calmly.
“In that case,
whenever you feel like it, just give us a call. We’ll bring the rings directly to you,” the staff responded respectfully.
Arathea gave a small nod, then looked over at Natalie, whose face had darkened considerably.
To be honest, Anathea hadn’t expected any of this.
Still, she maintained a composed and graceful expression, turning to Natalie. “Goodbye, Ms. Whitman.”
With that, she put the black card into her purse in front of Natalie before walking away at an unhurried pace. Martin followed

behind her.
“Take care, Mrs. Sinclair! Let me walk you out!” The staff quickly caught up, leaving Natalie standing there alone.

“Anathea!” Natalie stared daggers at Anathea’s back, gritting her teeth. Her eyes were filled with such venom she looked ready to tear Anathea apart.
She never imagined that Anathea would come back like an entirely different person. The Anathea who’d once groveled at her
feet was gone.
Natalie couldn’t accept that. She clenched her fingers so tightly they turned white. The humiliation she’d just endured nearly drove her mad. The frustration was eating her alive.
“Just you wait!”
The
Anathea vaguely heard Natalie’s furious shout, but she didn’t care. On the contrary, she even felt a faint sense of release, as though a long–suppressed emotion had finally found a way out.
“Thank you, Martin,” uttered Anathea.
