Gregory loomed over Anathea, looking down at the woman in front of him.
Anathea’s dress was modest, but somehow it still effortlessly stirred something in him.

He reached out and lifted the hem of her dress, his broad hand resting on her thigh. When he felt the sharpness of bone beneath his palm, he paused.
She’d lost weight.
The bit of flesh she’d regained during her time in Syntherra seemed to have worn away again since they’d returned to Castenea -to Sinclair Villa.
He frowned slightly, and a trace of something like heartache flickered in his eyes. It was so brief he didn’t even notice it.
Anathea pressed his hand down, her tone calm. “If we don’t leave now, we’ll be late. Mr. Price dislikes partners who aren’t punctual.”
“You know a lot about him,” Gregory remarked with a cold chuckle, his voice carrying a faint, almost imperceptible edge of jealousy.
“It’s just information Martin gave me. I memorized it, that’s all.”
Anathea handed him the freshly pressed clothes. “Go change.”
Gregory didn’t leave. Instead, he undressed right in front of her.
He’d kept up a consistent workout routine for years. His physique had always been impressive.
He was tall and well–proportioned—not the bulky, muscular kind of man, but the broad–backed, lean–waisted kind with sharply defined abs.
Every muscle was firm, exuding a strong masculine presence. It was a contrast to the crisp, restrained cedar scent he always
carried.
Anathea turned her gaze to the side, deliberately not looking at him.
Gregory saw the faint blush spreading across the tips of her ears and smirked.
“We’ve been married for years. It’s not as though you haven’t seen it before. What are you so shy about?”
He was in a good mood.
Anathea being shy meant his body still had an effect on her. He was confident in that.
But upon hearing him, Anathea looked back at him. Her gaze swept over him openly, a hint of a smirk on her lips. “Yeah, it’s been years. I’m kind of sick of it.”
Gregory’s good mood instantly dampened.
Martin could sense the gloomy chill radiating off Gregory and cautiously reminded Anathea, “Mrs. Sinclair, try not to upset Mr. Sinclair too often. Perhaps you should be a little more agreeable. Otherwise, things won’t be easy for you
Anathea simply smiled faintly.
Back when she was agreeable, life hadn’t been any easier. At least now, they were both miserable. That balance made her feel a little better.
Martin looked at the stubborn expression on Anathea’s face, then at Gregory’s icy expression. He shook his head helplessly.

Yet, despite all the tension, when the lights fell on Gregory and Anthea at Wesley’s event, they wore flawless smiles. Gregory got out of the car first and walked around to Anathea’s side to open the door for her before offering his arm.
Anathea placed her hand on his arm and stepped out of the car slowly.
As they stepped onto the red carpet, every camera turned toward them.
Gregory wore a perfectly tailored black casual suit. His black patent leather shoes with red soles made his legs look even longer. On his ring finger, a single ring sparkled under the lights with a luxurious gleam.
Anathea wore a cornflower blue velvet gown, subtly shimmering under the lights. Her shoes were a pair of black Roger Vivier Bouquet Flower Babies stilettos, adorned with a circle of white diamond flowers, which enhanced her elegant and noble air.
On her ring finger was the blue diamond ring that matched her dress perfectly.
The moment they appeared, they drew everyone’s attention with ease.
As they climbed the steps, Gregory gently supported her lower back and leaned in close to whisper in her ear, “Smile.” “I know. You don’t need to remind me,” Anathea replied, the corners of her lips lifting into a faint curve.
