Chapter 264
Anathea looked up and happened to see the pair watching her eagerly.
“Mom, try the shrimp I peeled.”
“Try mine first, Annie.”
“Try mine first, Mom!”
“Mine first!”
Anathea was speechless.

Over the next two days, Gregory and Xander only became more eager to please Anathea.
Anathea remained indifferent, going about her routine of eating and working on time. Not much had changed, but with the recent lack of emotional turmoil, she was in a noticeably better mood.
It was especially so since the studio’s project had made major progress–the scale had doubled, and they had even moved into a much larger office building.
“Come on, here’s to our business booming and thriving!” Evangeline raised her glass cheerfully.
The other colleagues also raised their glasses for a toast.
“Nat, aren’t you going to have a drink?” Lena asked.
Anathea just smiled and shook her head. “No, thanks. I’ve got work to do later. Drinking would get in the way.”
“Oh, come on, Nat! You’re too hardworking!” Evangeline hooked her arm around Anathea’s neck. “You’ve been handling
everything by yourself for days. You look thinner now. It’s honestly breaking my heart.”
“Really?” Anathea touched her face. She’d been eating organic oats and taking supplements regularly. All of it was probably going to the baby.
“Look who’s here!” someone said excitedly.
Anathea turned toward the voice and saw a tall figure appear at the doorway, holding a bouquet of flowers.
“Mr. Harrington?” Evangeline’s eyes flickered with surprise. “What brings you here?”
“To congratulate you on moving to a new office, of course,” Theo replied with a smile, lifting the bouquet in his hand.
“Oh, wow. You’re too kind, Mr. Harrington. You’re one of our biggest clients and yet you still came in person.”
Evangeline was overjoyed and reached out to take the flowers.
But Theo walked right past her and stopped in front of Anathea, holding the bouquet out to her.
“Congratulations. I picked these especially for you. Do you like them?”
Everyone, including Anathea, was surprised. A few colleagues even had gossipy expressions on their faces.
“N–no way! Mr. Harrington came here to give Nat flowers! Could he have feelings for…”
“What are you talking about? Nat is married!”
“So what? Mr. Sinclair is flirting with other women! He doesn’t even look like a good guy. On the other hand, Mr. Harrington seems to treat Nat pretty well.”
“Why? Just because he gives her flowers? That’s the bare minimum.”

“What do you mean ‘bare minimum? Sure, it’s only flowers. But what about Mr. Sinclair? We haven’t even seen him.”
As her words fell, a synchronized series of footsteps echoed, loud enough to reverberate down the hallway. The glasses of wine on the table trembled from the vibrations.
Evangeline blinked. “Is this… an earthquake?”
The next second, a group of suited bodyguards walked in—each holding a bouquet of flowers–and formed two rows.
Under everyone’s gaze, a tall, imposing figure slowly entered. He wore a crisply tailored three–piece suit. Every detail was immaculate, enhancing his presence.
“So handsome…” someone whispered in admiration.
Gregory gave a slight smile and walked straight up to Anathea. His tone was smooth and confident. “Congratulations, Annie. This is my gift to you. I hope you like it.”
As soon as he finished speaking, four bodyguards carried in a glass display case.
Inside was a floral arrangement crafted entirely of pure gold–an exact replica of Anathea’s award–winning piece from last month’s International Floristry Competition. Under the lights, it gleamed with dazzling brilliance.
Anathea froze in place.
