Chapter 267
Watching Gregory’s fake pitiful act, Theo was stupefied, his eyes wide.
He quickly turned to Anathea and explained, “It’s not what it looks like. Gregory is lying! You have to believe me!”
“Lying? So, you’re saying I injured myself?” Gregory asked faintly wiping his face and hissing from the pain.
Then, he looked at Anathea, complaining, “Annie, it hurts so much…”
“Gregory! Drop the act already!” Theo hollered furiously.

He’d known Gregory for so many years, but never could he have imagined that the bold, decisive CEO of Sinclair Group would turn out to be such a shameless, manipulative bastard.
Noticing the fire in Theo’s eyes, Gregory immediately shook his head at Anathea. “Annie, I’m not pretending.”
Theo’s fists clenched so tightly they cracked. “Ms. Jacobson, can’t you see through this?”
“Enough. If you two want to fight, take it outside. Our company’s too small to host both of you at once. Mr. Harrington, see you another time,” Anathea uttered coldly.
“Wait” Theo had just started to speak when security came over and escorted him out.
“Why am I the only one being kicked out?” Theo complained.
Gregory’s lips curved slightly. When he was about to follow Anathea, she said in a professional tone, “Mr. Sinclair, please leave as well. We’re busy sorting through documents after the relocation, so no guests are allowed.”
Gregory’s smile dropped, and Anathea had already stepped back into the elevator without sparing them another glance.
How merciless.
“Ha, see that? Even if you play the victim, your wife still doesn’t want you,” Theo uttered sarcastically, sticking out his tongue mockingly.
“Serves him right,” Theo added in his heart.
Gregory exhaled and looked at Theo. “Theo, how long are you planning to keep fooling around?”
His tone was icy and intimidating. It was as if the man who’d been in front of Anathea moments ago had never existed.
This was the real Gregory.
Theo gulped quietly, turning his head away in frustration. “I just can’t stand the way you treat Anathea! She didn’t do anything wrong. Why are you like this to her?”
The childish scuffle between men had ended. Now, they were finally getting to the real issue.
“You never used to care. But now, you suddenly do? What, have you fallen for her?” Gregory glared at him.
Though it was phrased as a question, based on the tone, it was almost a statement.
Theo was caught off guard. He hadn’t expected Gregory to see through him so easily.
But he didn’t dare admit it. Instead, he shot back, “What about you? You were planning to divorce her before, a clinging to her like crazy. Don’t tell me you’ve fallen for her.”
Surprisingly, Gregory answered honestly, “I have. I’ve fallen for Anathea.”
His tone even carried a hint of pride, like someone who’d finally found their place in the world.

A trace of astonishment flickered in Theo’s eyes. He’d never heard Gregory express such affection for anything or anyone before.

“Did you change doctors or something?”
“No.”
“Then have you been on drugs lately?”
Gregory’s face remained unreadable. “You’re spouting nonsense.
Theo eyed him with suspicion. “What’s going on with you? Do you actually have feelings for Anathea, or are you just trying to prove to everyone that you’re capable of having feelings for someone?”
Gregory paused, a flicker of something complicated flashing in his eyes. “It’s none of your business.”
