Chapter 274
Gregory had gone to Drunk Elysium at 5:00 pm. So, the “urgent business” he mentioned was going there to sleep with someone else?
Anathea didn’t know how to feel, but she wasn’t upset either.
After all, she’d never expected much from Gregory in the first place. A couple of sweet words wouldn’t change the deeply rooted
faults in a man.
The woman on the other end of the line kept going. “If the food gets cold again, warm it up once more. Anyway, you can forget about asking Mr. Sinclair to go back. Men get tired of eating the same dish over and over, don’t they?”
Her voice dripped with provocation.
Anathea simply smiled and countered, “Then, what about you? Has Mr. Sinclair eaten you already? If so, how do you still have the time to yap at me on the phone?”
The woman paused, clearly not expecting such a sharp retort.
Right. If Gregory had picked her, she wouldn’t be here, chatting with Anathea.
“Of course, he ate me! He did it more than once, mind you!” she shouted recklessly. “He’s just in the shower right now, getting ready for round two. If you don’t believe me, come here and see how good he eats me out-”
Anathea hung up, her face expressionless.
Gregory had said he liked her, sweet–talked her, and asked her to give him a chance. Yet, he still got involveed with other women at the club.
But Anathea didn’t care anymore. She only cared about Adam.
Clearly, the approach Giselle suggested wasn’t working, at least not on Gregory. He wasn’t someone who would waver because of a woman. He was surrounded by women, after all.
Anathea lowered her gaze.
Just then, her phone rang. It was Hannah.
“Thea, I’m in Castenea! Have you eaten? If not, come and eat with me!”
“I miss you, Thea!” Chloe chimed in from the background, which instantly softened Anathea’s heart.
“Okay, I’m on my way.” Anathea hung up and looked at Xander beside her.
“Mom, where are you going?” Xander asked curiously.
Thinking of Chloe’s adorable, clingy nature, and then glancing at the child in front of her–who was the spitting image of Gregory–Anathea replied flatly, “Ms. Cole invited me out. I’m heading out. Do you want to come?”
Xander froze. “Ms. Cole?”
“Yeah, the one who hit you at the hospital.”
“Then, I’m not going!” Xander shook his head furiously. Just thinking about how Hannah had twisted his ear terrified him. He’d never seen such a violent woman.
Since Xander didn’t want to go, Anathea didn’t push him.
“Have Jenny or Cyrus cook something else for you. I’m heading out, then.”
Without so much as another glance at the cake or dishes on the table, Anathea grabbed her coat and car keys and left.

But what Anathea didn’t know was that because of the phone call she’d just made, at this very moment, on the other side of Castenea, the fate of certain people was about to change forever.
It was 9:30 pm. At this hour, Drunk Elysium should have been alive with noise and energy, but it was eerily silent, especially in the presidential suite on the third floor.
Inside, a group of people stood packed together, all visibly nervous The man sitting on the couch exuded a cold, overwhelming presence.
Gregory toyed with the phone in his hand, his sharp gaze sweeping across every single person present. His voice was low and chilling, like the devil’s.
“Who just answered my wife’s call?”
