Gregory acted as if he didn’t hear Adrian. A dark storm rose in his eyes as an eerie smile spread across his face, growing wider and brighter.

“Ah!” Mackenzie crashed to the ground, coughing as she struggled to catch her breath. She looked like she’d just escaped death. She then looked at Gregory with fear. Her survival instinct was so strong that she completely forgot the pain in her neck and the suffocating terror just moments ago. She crawled toward Gregory and remained on the floor, her voice trembling. Her once–pretty face was now covered in messy tear streaks, making her look utterly pitiful.
Few men could watch a beautiful woman cry and remain unmoved. The few executives standing nearby were already showing signs of sympathy.
