Chapter 283
Chapter 283
Even though those thugs weren’t that well–educated, the sight of Gregory–along with the group of imposing, clearly well- trained bodyguards standing behind him was enough for them to realize that he was no ordinary figure.
But Callan and Ezekiel, whose face was swollen from being hit by Hannah, were both still furing
They pointed at Gregory and shouted irritably, “Who the hell are you? This is none of your business!”
Gregory took a long stride forward and came to a stop in front of the two of them. Looking down at them, he uttered, “I’m Sinclair.”
“Sinclair?” Callan and Ezekiel sneered, but then paused and glanced at each other.
“Sinclair? Which… Which Sinclair?”
“As in Sinclair Group and the Sinclair family in Castenea. Nothing special, really,” Gregory said casually.
As his words fell, the other thugs visibly paled. Their backs went cold, and their legs began to tremble.
What did he mean by “nothing special“? The Sinclair family could crush them without so much as lifting a finger.
“You said this was none of my business, right?“,
Gregory turned on his heel and walked straight over to Anathea’s side, slowly adding, “Since when did matters concerning my wife become none of my business?”
The whole place went silent for a moment.
The next second, several more bodyguards entered and quickly brought the scene under control.
Damien and Samantha had suffered some minor injuries during the scuffle, while Hannah–who’d clearly been trained–had managed to hold her own against two strong men with barely a smudge on her clothes.
Honestly, if Callan hadn’t managed to sneak up to Anathea, she could’ve taken on three of them by herself.
At the back of the crowd, Martin calmly picked up his phone. “There’s a minor incident here. Mr. Sinclair is on–site. Have the company’s legal team here immediately. Also, bring a personal doctor.”
The men who’d been so arrogant just moments ago all shrank back a little. Legal team? Personal doctor? That was a bit over the
top.
It seemed Gregory wasn’t going to let them off easy tonight.
But in truth, Gregory hadn’t spared them a second glance. Ever since he’d seen Anathea, his eyes hadn’t left her once.
He’d seen the moment she’d sunk her teeth hard into Callan.
That was his Anathea, alright. Even when she bit someone, she didn’t hold back.
But when he saw that her lips were stained with another man’s blood, Gregory clenched his teeth.
He wasn’t sure why, but a strange thought suddenly flashed through his mind—he wished he’d been the one Anathea had bitten. That way, the blood left on her lips would’ve been his.
Gregory’s eyes fell on Anathea’s lips as he reached out his hand.
Anathea leaned away, not wanting any contact with him. “What are you doing?”
“There’s blood on your mouth,” Gregory said while pointing at the spot before withdrawing his hand slightly.
Anathea wiped it off with the back of her hand. The blood smeared across her skin and lett a bit still clinging to the corner of her lips.

thea’s hair had gotten a bimevey. Gregory smoothed it out for her, his movements soft
Anthea felt uncomfortable with his gesture, but she let him. He just wanted to help, and she might need him to resolve the aftermath. However, she turned her head to the side to avoid looking at him.
Gregory stilled faintly at her silent acpescence and skillfully find her hair. Yet, no matter how gentle his touch was, a small strand of her hair still slipped loose and fell into his palm–and straight into his heart.
