“She’s not a femme fatale!” Gregory immediately snapped back. His sudden outburst tugged at the stitches on his wound, making him wince in pain.

“Just take it easy. If the wound starts bleeding again, you’ll be the one suffering. And if it leaves an ugly scar, maybe your wife will be disgusted by you.”
Gregory froze for a moment, then obediently quieted down, gritting his teeth to endure it.
Adrian shook his head.
“I should ask Anathea to teach me ways to control him like this,” Adrian thought jokingly.
Just as Gregory’s wound was fully stitched and bandaged, an anxious voice burst into the room.
“Mr. Sinclair, bad news!” Martin rushed in, nearly tripping over himself. “Peter went to take Mrs. Sinclair back to the Sinclair residence!”
“What?” A flicker of surprise flashed through Adrian’s eyes. He suddenly had a bad feeling.
The moment Gregory heard Martin’s words, he immediately sat up Without caring whether the fresh stitches would tear, he got right out of bed.
“Greg! Calm down!” Adrian shouted in alarm.
“I can’t,” Gregory responded coldly.
If it concerned Anathea, there was no way he could stay calm.
In a private chapel in the Sinclair residence, framed photos and plaques were neatly arranged on the ebony table, honoring generations of family heads and other ancestors.

Seeing this, Eleanor quickly walked up to Xander, holding him tightly to stop him from struggling. Then, she comforted him, saying, “Xander, behave. The adults are talking. Kids shouldn’t be involved.”
“No!” Xander shouted and bit down on Eleanor’s hand.
“Ah!” Eleanor cried out in pain.
