Theo froze in shock at Eleanor’s words.

Eleanor was burning with fury. “You punk! Don’t you dare talk nonsense in here!”
Anathea tugged on Theo’s shirt and shook her head.
Theo looked at Anathea, his eyes unusually resolute. “I’m telling the truth! She’s carrying my child!”

Lennox cast Eleanor a cold glance. “Look at the fine nephew you’ve raised.”

“You plan to just let him go?” Lennox asked in return.
Eleanor froze for a second, her fingers tightening. But she still forced herself to be respectful and cautiously asked, “Then, what do you suggest we do?”
“One is my granddaughter–in–law, and the other is an extended family member. They slept together–isn’t that a disgrace to the family’s name?” Lennox narrowed his eyes.
“You yelled about family blood and all that stuff earlier. But now that your nephew’s involved, suddenly you’re letting him go.”
A trace of panic flashed in Eleanor’s eyes as she hurried to deny it. Of course not!”
“That’s right, Dad. That’s not what Eleanor meant.” Holden quickly tried to smooth things over.
“Then, what did she mean?” Lennox countered.
Holden paused, unable to answer.
Eleanor gritted her teeth. “Given how things have turned out, of course everything will be done according to your will. I’ll leave it to you to decide.”
“That’s your nephew. Are you sure you can watch him get punished?” Lennox scoffed.
Eleanor lowered her head. “Yes.”
“Very well.” Lennox cast a cold glance at Theo and Anathea. “Punish them according to family rules.”
Lightning and thunder exploded across the sky.
Eleanor staggered, and Holden reached out to steady her.

Theo looked surprised as Gregory walked up to him.
