Louie was a bit surprised. Given Gregory’s overbearing nature, Loule thought he would make the decision for Anathea before she even woke up.

The confused Jenny and Bella were so frightened by the scene that their legs went weak. They reported everything Anathea had eaten during this period.
“Just… the usual ingredients–things she’s always eaten,” Bella said, nervous enough to break into a cold sweat.
“And all of it was delivered fresh every day. There shouldn’t be anything wrong with it.”
Gregory frowned deeply.
It was true that all the food at home was delivered fresh and varied daily. It would be too complicated to tamper with it all, which meant the issue probably wasn’t with the ingredients.
Suddenly, something crossed Gregory’s mind. A dark light flickered in his eyes. “Bring me the organic oats she’s been eating.”
“Yes, Mr. Sinclair!”
Bella and Jenny immediately brought over the leftover organic oats.
Louie only had to take a sniff before his brows furrowed. “It smells a bit off.”
He immediately had someone prepare a test kit.
Ten minutes later, Louie handed Gregory a cup of discolored solution. “Someone definitely tampered with the oats.”
At that, Gregory shattered the glass in his hand.
Louie jumped and grabbed his hand. “Are you trying to rip open your wound again?”
Gregory withdrew his hand with no expression, his sharp gaze landing on Bella. “Where did you get the oats?”
“I–It wasn’t from me,” Bella stammered in fright, “Dylan Hill, the butler from the Sinclair residence, sent it. He said it was from Mrs. Sinclair Senior.”
“Mrs. Sinclair Senior?” Louie thought of Brisa’s kind face. “I’ve heard she’s always been fond of Anathea. How could it be her?” “Someone must be using her name. Besides that woman, no one else would dare,” Gregory uttered icily.
He took out his phone and sent a message to Dominic.
Forcing Eleanor to give up all her assets was far too lenient. She had to suffer a hundred times more than Gregory did.
Louie saw the cold, ruthless light flash in Gregory’s eyes and sighed inwardly. The only person in the world who could make the always–calm and composed Gregory lose control was Anathea.
“One more thing. Don’t tell her about this,” Gregory added.

Louie was stunned, confused. “Why not?”

When Anathea woke up, she immediately felt a stinging pain in her arm. She turned her head and saw she was on an IV.
A bad thought suddenly flashed through her mind. Her expression changed as she anxiously tried to sit up, but she had no strength.
“Take it easy.” A gentle voice sounded beside her, and a hand supported her back, helping her up.
Anathea immediately grabbed Gregory’s hand, her face tense. “The baby–how’s the baby?”
Gregory pressed his lips together, not saying anything. His silence only made the terrible feeling in Anathea’s heart grow
stronger.
She lowered her eyes and glanced at herself. She remembered she hadn’t been wearing this pair of pajamas last night. Even the bedsheets had been changed, and there was a faint smell of disinfectant in the air.
Everything–pointed to one conclusion.
Anathea’s heart skipped a beat. When Gregory still didn’t speak, her unease multiplied.
She tightened her grip on his hand, her eyes reddening. “Tell me the truth!”
Gregory looked at the tears pooling in her eyes, looking as if they were about to fall at any moment, and his heart ached faintly.
But after a brief moment of hesitation, he still said, “Annie, let’s not keep the baby, okay?”
