Chapter 412
“But the path I’m paving for Gregory is a road to hell.” Eleanor looked up at the row of dark ancestral plaques lined up on the altar, her smile deepening. “So, please be patient, Harvey.”
“Hmph, you can continue kneeling here and wait for the ancestors to protect you, then.” Harvey stormed off, flicking his sleeve in frustration.
Eleanor was willing to wait, but Harvey wasn’t. If Gregory really became head of the Sinclair family, they’d be the first to be wiped out.
Without hesitation, Harvey dialed Michael’s number.
Michael answered quickly, but he sounded weak. “Hello?”
“If you’re still alive, I need you to do something for me,” Harvey uttered bluntly.
“What is it?”
“You want to destroy everything Gregory cares about, right? Well, I’ve got a candidate for you,” Harvey said, stroking his beard.
“Abduct the woman he’s protecting at home, preferably when he takes over as head of the Sinclair family. I want to see which one he chooses–her or the position.”
Upon hearing this, Michael, who had been barely clinging to life from a gunshot wound, suddenly became interested.
He recalled how Gregory had taken a knife meant for Anathea without hesitation and chuckled. “So, she’s the one you truly care about, Gregory. Well, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
The chuckle pulled at his wound, causing his face to contort in pain. “Damn it.”
If it weren’t for the injury, he would have abducted Anathea and made Gregory have a taste of the pain.
Resentment filled Michael’s eyes as he struggled to dial a number.
At Sinclair Villa, just as Gregory was about to see Theo and the others off, Anathea came down the stairs.
“Anathea!” Theo’s eyes brightened. Because Gregory had been holding him back, he hadn’t seen Anathea in a long time. So, when he finally did, he immediately stood up.
Anathea paused for a moment.
Theo quickly walked over to her and asked, “How are you? Feeling okay?”
Louie and Adrian exchanged glances before looking over at Gregory. Sure enough, his expression was gradually darkening.
Not glancing at Gregory, Anathea responded politely, “I’m feeling much better now.”
“That’s good to hear.” Theo finally relaxed and took out a small bouquet, handing it to Anathea. “Lena asked me to give this to you.”
“This is gorgeous!” Anathea said with delight. She hadn’t expected Lena to have improved so much during the time they hadn’t
met.
Gregory didn’t hear anything else. He only heard the compliment from Anathea, and his face darkened even more. His grip on the glass tightened.
Louie and Adrian quietly shifted aside to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.
Theo shot Gregory a glance, pleased with Gregory’s frustration. That was what Gregory got for guarding Anathea like a thief and never letting Theo see her.

Theo took advantage of the moment and complained to Anathea,‘ve been wanting to give you this for a while now, but Gregory stopped me every time I came here. That mean guy would’t let me near you.”
At that, Anathea finally looked at Gregory. After seeing the grievance on his face, Anathea nodded in agreement. “Yeah, he is pretty mean.”
With a grunt, Gregory stood up and signaled the bodyguards to show the guests out.
“Hey, you’re being unfair, Gregory!” Theo protested and tried to go back.
But two burly bodyguards blocked his way, saying in unison, “Mr. Harrington, please leave.”
“You’re indeed mean!” Theo flipped Gregory off, stomping away.
Louie and Adrian couldn’t help but chuckle and followed suit.
At once, only Anathea and Gregory were in the living room. Anathea looked away and turned to go upstairs with the bouquet.
The next moment, Gregory stood up and approached her quickly, grabbing her wrist.
With one firm pull, Anathea was pulled back to face him. Before she could say a word, Gregory cupped her chin and lifted it gently. She had no choice but to look at him.
“You came down just as Theo was leaving. You sure know how to time things, huh?”
