“Ms. Eleanor missed Xander, so she brought him to the Sinclair residence to stay for the night,” Cyrus explained.
Anathea didn’t ask further. After all, no matter how Eleanor targeted her, she wouldn’t harm Xander.
“We’re going to prepare dinner now. Mrs. Sinclair, you can take a shower first and come down afterward,” Bella said as she began handling the ingredients, with Jenny assisting.
Anathea couldn’t be of much help, so she turned and went upstairs
Grabbing some clothes, she took off the ring on her hand and reached for the bracelet on her wrist. The clasp on the bracelet was prone to damage if wet, so she was used to taking it off before showering and putting it back on afterward.
Just as Anathea took off the bracelet and was about to enter the bathroom, someone knocked on the door.
In the kitchen downstairs, Jenny was helping Bella clean the abalone when she asked, “Bella, how-”
Before she could finish, Bella suddenly staggered and collapsed to her knees on the floor.
“Bella?” Jenny hurried over to help her up. “What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know… I’m so sleepy.” Bella shook her head, trying hard to stay awake. But her eyelids kept drooping until she finally closed her eyes.
“Bella!” Jenny panicked and was about to rush out to call the bodyguards, who were at the door.
But at that moment, Cyrus hurried down the stairs.
Seeing Jenny, he anxiously said, “Jenny, go upstairs quickly! Mrs. Sinclair…”
“What happened to Mrs. Sinclair?” Jenny’s face instantly changed as she followed Cyrus upstairs.
When they pushed open the door to the master bedroom, they found Anathea lying on the carpet, eyes tightly shut.
“Mrs. Sinclair!” Jenny shouted, rushing over to help her up.
“Mrs. Sinclair, what’s wrong? Wake up!”
But Anathea still gave no response.
Jenny’s heart sank with a sudden sense of unease. She quickly pulled out her phone, her fingers trembling as she dialed Gregory’s number.
But before she could even press the call button, a sharp pain struck the back of her head. A wave of blinding dizziness followed instantly, engulfing her senses. In the next moment, everything faded to black.
Cyrus stood over Jenny’s fallen body and the already unconscious Anathea. He let out a breath and picked up his phone to dial a number.
The call was answered almost immediately, and the person on the other end got straight to the point. “How’s it going?”
“It’s done, just like you instructed. I’ll avoid the bodyguards and get Mrs. Sinclair out shortly.”
As Cyrus glanced at Anathea, he remembered how Gregory had asked him to take good care of her before leaving us clenched his teeth. “You’re not going to hurt her, right?”
“Relax. She’s far too valuable. We won’t lay a finger on her.”
“What about my brother? What have you done to him?” Cyrus‘ tone grew tense.
“As long as you keep doing what you’re told, I guarantee he’ll stay safe,” the person replied with a low chuckle. “Hurry and get

her out. Don’t make us wait.”
“You’d better keep your word.” Cyrus hung up.
After a moment of hesitation, he crouched down and pulled out a rope, reaching for Anathea. “I’m sorry, Mrs. Sinclair. I have no
choice.”
On the helicopter sat Adrian, Gregory, and Martin.
“Is everything in place?” Gregory asked.
“Yes, Mr. Sinclair. It’s all arranged,” Martin responded with a nod. ‘Everything is going according to plan.”
Gregory nodded slightly. But suddenly, a sharp pain shot through his chest. It was so intense that he nearly lost his breath
“Mr. Sinclair!”
“Greg!”
