Natalie watched Anathea’s anxious expression and curled her lips. She pulled out her phone and typed a line of text before holding it up in front of Anathea.
“Getting anxious already? Do you think Greg will notice you and come save you?”
The amusement in Natalie’s eyes deepened with a hint of mockery as she typed another line.
“Well, you’re far too naive.”
Before Anathea could fully grasp what Natalie meant, Harvey stepped up in front of Gregory in the next second.
Gregory acted as if he hadn’t even seen Harvey and continued walking toward the private chapel.
“Gregory! I’m your uncle! How dare you be so disrespectful?” Harvey snapped, pointing at Gregory furiously. “You ungrateful brat. Has no one ever taught you to respect your elders?”
At those words, Gregory finally glanced at Harvey, his tone calm and indifferent. “I show respect to the elders who actually deserve it. As for you…”
He didn’t finish the sentence, but the implication was crystal clear
“You insolent little…” Harvey was so furious he could barely breathe. But he took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down.
Then, feigning curiosity, he asked, “Today’s the big day. You’ll soon officially become the head of the family. But I don’t see 4your wife with you. What, you think she’s not good enough to be here?”
Hearing the veiled implication in Harvey’s words, Gregory remained expressionless. “That’s none of your business. If you’re so free,y don’t you go polish the signet ring that I will soon wear? Consider it a chance for you to at least touch it.”
Harvey was momentarily stunned into silence. He hadn’t expected Gregory, who used to be so quiet and reserved, to be this sharp–tongued.
Gregory couldn’t be bothered with Harvey any longer. But having heard Harvey mention Anathea, he still pulled out his phone to check her location.
She was still at the villa. There were no signs of movement.
Gregory then sent a message to his bodyguard, instructing him to go up to the third floor–and check on Anathea in person.
The bodyguard arrived quickly and was about to enter the room when Cyrus stopped him. “Hold on. Mrs. Sinclair is sleeping. She mustn’t be disturbed.”
“Mr. Sinclair asked me to check on her,” the bodyguard replied flatly, strictly doing his duty.
Cyrus opened the door and gestured toward the figure lying under the covers in the master bedroom. “See? Mrs. Sinclair is right there. She hasn’t gone anywhere.”
The bodyguard withdrew his gaze and reported back to Gregory. “Mrs. Sinclair is in the rooni. Everything’s fine here.” Gregory let out a small breath of relief. As long as Anathea was safe at home, there was nothing to worry about.
Then, he raised his hand. The next second, a group of bodyguards rushed in and quickly surrounded Harvey.
Harvey’s expression turned dark. “What’s the meaning of this, Gregory? This is the Sinclair residence’s private chapel! How dare you act so recklessly here?”
But his tone betrayed him. It was obvious he had been waiting for this moment. He immediately pulled out his phone and dialed a number, trying to reach his men.
He’d just wanted to let Gregory make his move first.

Did Gregory think he was the only one allowed to bring his men here? Harvey had already stationed his own men around the chapel.
As soon as Lennox handed over the family signet ring and Sinclair Group’s official seal to Gregory, Harvey would storm in and seize them by force if he had to. He didn’t care if he had to tear the entire chapel apart.
There was no way he’d let some young upstart take the upper hand.
He had been envious of Lennox for a long time, wondering why Lennox got to be the head of the family just because he was the eldest. Why should Harvey always be in Lennox’s shadow?
Harvey had been the one managing the businesses at Lakeward Shore all these years.
Yet, the biggest share of profits always ended up in Lennox and his useless sons‘ pockets. Now, his grandson had even destroyed the businesses.
He wasn’t just going to let this be. He was determined to claim both the title of the head of the Sinclair family and the position of Sinclair Group’s CEO.
But even as he kept dialing the number, no one answered.
“Can’t get through?” Gregory asked, calm and composed.
Harvey froze. His expression changed dramatically at Gregory’s next words.
“Exactly. That’s the point.”
