Chapter 461
This time, Gregory reached for the bowl of soup again.
Before he could touch it, Anathea had already picked it up and taken a sip. Expressionless, she asked, “Happy now?”
“Could be better.” Gregory smirked slightly as he picked some food for her. “Eat some more.”
Anathea glanced at him. “Gregory, do you know what you look like right now? A maidservant from ancient times.”
A nurse nearby bit her lip to hold back a laugh.
Gregory, unfazed by her teasing, actually looked more serious. “Then you’re my mistress.”
Anathea said nothing.
She figured that with how shameless Gregory was now, if she slapped him, there was a good chance he would just grab her wrist and plant a kiss right on her palm.
The thought made her shiver.
So she stayed far away from him and quietly ate her food.
Gregory sat opposite her, making no further moves. He just watched her eat and occasionally offered more food after she finished.
As Anathea chewed, she caught him out of the corner of her eye.
Though they had only been apart a few days, he seemed thinner. His jawline was more defined.
But she didn’t have time to care. Earlier that afternoon, Theo had messaged her saying the plan was set. He would help her leave tomorrow.
She needed to prepare in advance, and Gregory’s presence was an unexpected variable.
“Do you need something?” Anathea asked.
“Nothing. I just came to see you.”
“Well, since you’ve seen me, you can leave now.”
Gregory paused. His voice was tinged with sorrow. “You really don’t want to be with me?”
Anathea pressed her lips together.
She knew Gregory’s temper well. He was literally insane right now. If she gave him an extreme answer and pissed him off, it would definitely backfire on her.
So she replied calmly, “I’m just tired. I want to rest. Are you going to take away my right to sleep too?”
“Of course not.” Gregory stood up.
Anathea thought he was leaving and was about to relax.
However, he pulled a set of pajamas from his bag. “Go to sleep. I’ll stay by your side. Hope you don’t mind.”
“Of course-”
She didn’t even get the chance to finish saying “I mind” before Gregory continued.
“Good.” Gregory had already taken his pajamas and gone into the bathroom.
Anathea stood frozen and pressed her tongue against the roof of her mouth, feeling speechless. Gregorý might be thinner, but his audacity had grown immensely.

The sound of water running came from the bathroom.
Taking advantage of the moment, Anathea messaged Theo to confirm tomorrow’s plan. Everything was well arranged. She just needed to pack a few things and cooperate.
Anathea read the message intently and replied with a simple “Okay. Just as she was about to type something else, a tall figure appeared right behind her.
“Who are you texting?” Gregory placed both hands on the edge of the table, trapping her between his arms. It looked like he was giving her a back hug.
Anathea stiffened. He had just showered. Aside from the scent of body wash, a warm mist clung to him.
Instinctively, Anathea tried to move away and keep some distance but he held her waist with one hand. His palm was broad and warm. Through the thin fabric, his heat clearly radiated onto her.
Anathea’s fingers curled into a fist. “Let go.”
Gregory rested his chin on her shoulder. In a deep, pleasant voice, he said, “You haven’t answered me. Who are you texting?”
“It’s none of your business.” She sharply brushed away his hand from her waist and continued coldly, “Mr. Sinclair, don’t be touchy–feely like some rogue.”
“Rogue?” Gregory tugged at his lips before saying seriously, “You’ve probably got the wrong idea about that word. A real rogue isn’t like this. It’s more like…”
He swept her up in his arms. “This.”
