Chapter 484
“Frederick took advantage of the chaos and has already started negotiating with other floral companies alongside a few executives from Leia Group. It we mess up Ms. Doyle’s wedding, we’ll lose the partnership with tela Group for sure,” said Giselle.
Evangeline jumped to her feet. “What the hell! He’s such a sneaky bastard!”
He had tried everything to stop Anathea from discussing the wedding preparations with Emory, and now that something had gone wrong, he couldn’t wait to push them out of the picture.
“I’m pretty sure he already had another company lined up. He was just waiting for us to screw up so he could pounes.” Giselle frowned.
“Olivia is trying to buy us as much time as she can, but she said we must have the venue redone before 1.00 pm tomorrow when the ceremony starts. If we don’t, even she might not be able to protect us.”
“What do we do now?” Evangeline was spinning in circles with anxiety, frantically dialing more floral suppliers.
But at this hour, most calls either went unanswered or couldn’t get through.
Anathea stared at the white roses in the clear glass vase. Their petals were already starting to wilt. She would need nutrients if she wanted them to bloom back to life.
Sighing, Anathea said, “Forget it. That’s enough for tonight.”
“What?” Evangeline froze in place.
Lena also looked confused.

“It’s late. No matter how anxious we get, it won’t help right now. We should rest. Good night.” Anathea stood up and went into her room.
Evangeline watched as Anathea just went to bed. She blinked. “Wait, what…”
Giselle shrugged. She didn’t get it either. But if Anathea had made this decision, there had to be a reason.
“Let it be. Since she asked us to rest, then let’s rest. There’s no point in putting more pressure on ourselves.”
Evangeline opened her mouth to argue, but after glancing at Anathea’s closed door, she swallowed her words. “Alright.”

Inside the room, Gregory was focused on reading a book, flipping through the pages with full concentration.
“Tsk, things are practically on fire over at Anathea’s side, and you still have the leisure to sit here reading?” Louie walked over and handed Gregory his medication for the day.
“That Frederick guy looks like someone who plays dirty. Are you really going to just let him bully Anathea?”
Gregory took the pills and swallowed them with some water. “If she can’t even handle this, what’s the point of ting on running a floral studio?”
He sounded casual, almost indifferent, as if he didn’t care at all.
“Oh? So you don’t care at all?” Louie raised an eyebrow. “Well, I guess it makes sense. You guys are divorced, after all. There’s nothing worth caring about an ex, right?”
Gregory said nothing.
But Louie noticed the subtle change in Gregory’s expression when he said “ex” and couldn’t help but chuckle. “You can pretend all you want. You really must have money to burn if you can airlift 200 thousand pink roses all the way from Estara.”

Did Gregory really think Louie didn’t know?
The moment Analhea got into trouble, Gregory had already called Martin, instructing him to go to Plocentridge in srauthwest Estara to gather 200 thousand pink roses and arrange for a private jet to deliver them overnight.
“It’s really hard to read your mind.” Louie pursed his lips.
Gregory said he didn’t care. Yet, in reality, he was more anxious than anyone else.
“Cut the crap. Why are you still up this late? Planning to sneak out and ‘accidentally‘ rum into Giselle again?” Gregory shot back.
Louie’s expression instantly shifted.
“Damn this guy. He knows how to hit where it hurts,” thought toe.
Once Louie left, Gregory finally got up and walked out onto the balcony.
The spacious glass balcony offered a sweeping view of Grendova’s skyline. The warm night breeze drified by
Gregory turned his head toward a balcony nearby. As he expected, he saw a figure seated on a swing, gazing out at the night. She wore a light–colored nightgown, her long, silky hair cascading down her back like strands of glossy black satin. Anathea was holding a small glass vase with a few white roses floating inside. Beside her sat another unknown contanter, along with a bottle of flower nutrients.
After a while, she felt as if someone was watching her and looked over.
But the balcony was empty with no one in sight. Only the moonlight spilled across the floor was there, painting a soft, silver glow.
