“You’re saying your mom comes here a lot?” Dominic was stunned, then clenched his jaw. “So you came here to look for your dad?”
Chloe nodded. She was sharp enough to notice the change in Dominic’s mood and quickly explained, “But I looked around, and none of the men here are as handsome as you!”
“Is that so?”
The frown on Dominic’s face softened a little. He looked at Chloe with amusement. “That’s why you called me Daddy? You want me to be your dad?”
He didn’t beat around the bush, and Chloe wasn’t the type to be shy either. She always said exactly what she wanted. “Yes! I think you’re the best–looking and nicest person I’ve ever met. I want you to be my dad. Is that okay?”
She blinked up at him with eyes full of hope.
Dominic almost scooped her into his arms right then and kissed her chubby cheek.
How could it not be okay? It was more than okay.
But he held himself back, cleared his throat, and forced a serious expression. “Why do you want to find a dad? Doesn’t your mom take good care of you?”
“She does! Mommy’s the best person in the whole wide world!” Chloe replied with all the seriousness in the world. “But I don’t want her to be so tired all the time. I want to find a dad who’ll love her with me, so she can be a little happier.”
“Chloe, you must’ve been a little angel in your past life,” Dominic murmured softly as he looked at her. His eyes were filled with tenderness.
Honestly, he felt incredibly grateful to Hannah for raising their daughter so well. Chloe was so thoughtful and mature, even though that kind of maturity tugged at his heart…
But from now on, he was going to love this little girl with everything he had.
“Do you want to be my dad?” Chloe asked again.
“I’d be honored.” Dominic gently took her small hand in his. His amber eyes reflected her face, which was so similar to Hannah’s. He smiled. “I’m glad you chose me.”
“So that means yes?” Chloe lit up. “Yay! I have a dad now!”
She grabbed his fingers with both hands and said excitedly, ‘Let’s go find my mom now!”
Dominic paused. “Right now?”
“Of course! She’s really popular. There are so many people who like her. Some even call her their wifey!” Chloe pouted a little, clearly jealous at the thought of sharing Hannah with random strangers.
Dominic’s expression turned a little strange. He picked her up in his arms. “Alright, then. Let’s go find her.” “Okay!” Chloe threw her arms around his neck. Her face was glowing with excitement. “Let’s go!”

Meanwhile, hearing Chloe call Dominic Daddy over and over, Grace felt her heart skip a beat. She pointed at Dominic and demanded, “You brat, what’s going on here?”
