Yesterday, Gregory had flown into a huge rage. Jenny had worked for him for years, but she’d never seen him in such a state.
Anathea cast her eyes downward and said, “Alright, got it.”
She’d never seen Gregory like that before either, not to mention the fact that the reason he’d gotten worked up was because he’d misunderstood Anathea’s relationship with Toni.
Anathea found this hilarious. Gregory had been toring the line regarding lids closeness with Natalie.Yet, here he was pointing

However, Gregory’s temper was unpredictable. It would be best for her to not piss him off again.
After finishing her breakfast, Anathea turned her phone on to reply to a few messages. However, a notification popped up from a news outlet. “The CEO of Sinclair Group Stayed Up All Night Caring for His Girlfriend Presh Out of Surgery“.
Anathea smirked humorlessly and clicked into it.
There was a photo of Gregory decked out in a full suit, sitting in the VIP lounge area of the hospital. While he looked relaxed enough, bis eyes glimmered with concern as he stared resolutely at the operating theater, Evidently, the patient inside was
extremely important to him.
Then, Anathea received a message from Natalie. It was a picture of Natalie in bed after her leg surgery. Aside from her pale complexion, she looked good.
There was a glass jar full of paper cranes on her bedside table, gifted to her from Xander. Theo, Eleanor, and Gregory sat around her, putting her within their protective circle.
Natalie was smiling radiantly at the camera, looking like a woman buoyed by love. Her expression was one of happiness.
Her winning smile annoyed Anathea. She backed out of the app, attempting to ignore it. She stared out of the window, lost in thought
Anathea recalled her experience giving birth to Xander. Due to her excessive blood loss and Xander’s unfortunate positioning. she’d lain on that operating bed, floating in and out of consciousness. Her eyes were bloodshot, and she felt as though she was being engulfed in darkness.
She’d had one foot in hell at that point. Yet, she’d had no one around her. Even the document supposedly notifying her family of
her critical condition was signed on her own.
In the end, she birthed Xander in the midst of her despair.
When the nurse wheeled her out of the operating room, the only person standing outside was Hannah, who had tears streaming
down her face
Upon seeing Anathea being wheeled out alive, Hannah could no longer hold herself together. She collapsed by Anathea’s bed and walled, “Gregory Sinclair is an asshole! I wouldn’t have let him off the hook if anything happened to you!”
Anathea remembered how Hannah was the only person keeping her company in the empty hospital room.
She’d even imagined how her family would’ve crowded around heran concern if Adam hadn’t gotten into the scandal and Fiona hadn’t succumbed to her illness. It would’ve been just like Natalie’s situation in the picture.
“Mrs. Sinclair, Mrs. Sinclair?” Anathea only came back to her senses after Jenny called for her multiple times. After wiping at the comer of her teary eyes, she asked, “What do you need?
“Your phone’s ringing, Jenny said.
Anathea looked down at the phone in her hands. Brisa was calling. She picked up immediately and said, “Grandma, what’s going

She’d agree to what Brisa wanted temporarily. Then, Anathea would show up alone, saying that something had come up at the last minute for the two of them.
However, Brisa tollowed it up immediately and said, “There’s no need for that, I’m outside your place. You guys can just come out. We’ll head there together.”
