Chapter B3.
Theo hadn’t expected Anathga to react like that. The Anathea he knew would reply righteously, “Mr. Harrington, I love Gregory Please do not humiliate me like that!”
When she professed her love, her eyes would be sparkling with hot love for him, as though no man could ever compare
This was why Theo looked down on Anathea. She loved Grepary to the point where she no longer had any semblance of free thought. How lowly!
Yet, Analbea’s expression was extremely calm, like the smooth sace of an undisturbed lake. She asked, “Mr. Harrington, how much are we talking?”
As she spoke, het eyes seemed dead and cold, as though they were discussing funding for a project, and not her marriage to
Gregory.
This huge difference caught Theo in suprise. He looked at her suspiciously and asked, “Are you changing your tactics because clinging on to Greg shamelessly didn’t work?”
Anathea said nothing.
After all, even if she said no, Theo wouldn’t believe her. He’d thin she was just lying to him.
They took her silence as confirmation. He snorted before mocking “Anathea, you are the heiress from an influential family in Cistenca. Even if your family has lost some of its shine, there’s no need to lower your worth to this point? Do you have to latch on to Gregory?”
Anathea ignored his cruel words. She met his disdainful gaze and proposed her demands, “The two glasses of wine I drank are worth two million, I want another eight million on top of that, so ten million in total. Mr. Harrington, can you offer me ten million?”
Theo was taken aback. He looked at her weirdly. It wasn’t because of the exorbitant amount. Rather, it was because of how she’d rendered her demands so casually, without hesitation.
Wasn’t she supposed to hang on to their marriage with her life and refuse to let go of Gregory?
“Mr. Harrington, could it be that you can’t afford to pay me ten million? If you can’t pay me, don’t make empty promises,” she said coldly.
“Deal!”
Theo couldn’t resist the challenge. He agreed immediately. It was only ten million. He could pay her if it meant she’d divorce Gregory.
Upon seeing how easily he’d agreed, she felt like she’d asked for too little. She should have gone for 50 million instead.
Theo noticed her expressions and thought she was regretting it. He immediately wrote a cheque for ten million and handed it to her, saying, “Take this and immediately draft a divorce agreement”
He wanted to see her twisted expressions of regret. Anathea’s reactions seemed off, unregretful, and calm. However, if she did regret it, Theo would look down on her even more!
Theo was already prepared to mock her. However, she just took the check from him and smiled. She said, “Don’t worry. The agreement has been drafted.”
Gregory had signed it as well. They were in the process of getting a divorce already. Soon, they would be strangers, never to see each other again. However, Anathea would not tell ‘Theo this. She smirked while looking at the check in her hand.
Theo gave the money to her. Why would she turn it down? At the end of the day, a divorce was still a divorce, no matter whether she proposed it before or after taking the money. The results wouldn’t make a difference. However, she did make some money.
Her low spirits soared immediately.

When Thốn saw how quickly she agreed, he felt weird, but couldn‘ but his finger on why. When he saw the small santle on Anathea’s face lit whilch her eyes no longer shone for Gregory and im alone, leaving her eyes clear to reflect the sunset, the feeling felt even stronger.
However, before he could figure it out, Anathea said goodbye and ft.
Theo was lost in thought as he watched her leave.
“Why are you staring at het? You like her?”
The sound of Adrian’s wheelchair rattling woke him from his stupor. Then turned to him with a frown and asked, “What nonsense are you going on about?”
