Margaret had messaged her, saying Eleanor had requested her attendance alongside Kane.
Aria understood that she wasn’t officially severed from Kane yet. She remained the nominal Luna of the Ravencrest Pack, 30 she naturally couldn’t refuse it.
After replying to Margaret’s message, she hesitated before mind–linked Kane: “Elder Ravencrest’s birthday celebration–she let me go back with you.”
But ten minutes passed without any response.
Aria stopped waiting for a reply.
On the other side, Seraphina accompanied Selena to the mall to select a birthday gift for Eleanor.
“Sera, you have excellent taste. The things you’ve chosen–Grandmother would definitely love them!”
Selena linked arms with Seraphina, her smile bright and radiant.
She had known Seraphina for ten years, and since Seraphina was Kane’s unforgettable ex–mate, she always viewed her through a lens of admiration that matched her cousin’s feelings.
Seraphina lowered her eyes modestly. “Really? But… if your grandmother knew it was from me, she definitely wouldn’t be pleased.”
After all, it was that old woman who had broken up her and Kane initially.
Otherwise, she would have been his Luna by now!
“That’s because Grandmother misunderstood you and believed gossip from others, which led to your separation from Kane!” Selena almost revealed more than intended, but she patted her chest confidently. “Don’t worry–in my heart, I only recognize you as my sister–in–law and the Luna of the Ravencrest Pack. you!”
Seraphina smiled with apparent gratitude.
But when Selena couldn’t see her expression, the smile disappeared entirely.
